The Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team needed a late burst to escape a season-opening loss, and the Blue Jays got it.

Carly Steinlauf put Hopkins ahead for good with 6:41 to play as Hopkins outlasted Drexel, 13-11, at Homewood Field on Saturday. The Jays ended the game on a 5-1 run.
