The Onondaga men's lacrosse team is still No. 1 after the first update to the NJCAA poll.
Genesee and Nassau CC were both within striking distance of Onondaga, which opened the season with an easy 21-2 win over Mercyhurst North East. Ryan Smith led the Lazers with four goals and four assists in the game. Nassau CC even earned one of the six available first-place votes.
The top 10 remains unchanged since the preseason rankings were released on Feb. 17.
