Kylie Ohlmiller had another commanding day for the Seawolves.
On her promotional bobblehead night in front of a program record 3,123 fans, the senior captain recorded 11 points to send No. 1 Stony Brook past Johns Hopkins, 15-7. Ohlmiller is now just 12 points and 12 assists shy of breaking the NCAA Division I career records for both categories.
"This was a dangerous game,” Seawolves coach Joe Spallina said. “Johns Hopkins is a very good team. The crowd was buzzing tonight. It was an incredible atmosphere for a college lacrosse game. We haven't played in a really competitive game in awhile, so I thought this was a good opportunity for us to play against a great team. For the most part, we answered the bell and I was proud of our effort."

Ohlmiller scored the first two goals of the game and had a hand in six of Stony Brook’s first half goals. The Seawolves led the Blue Jays 7-2 at the break.
Ohlmiller again opened the second half with a point, this time for an assit to sister Taryn Ohlmiller. She then assisted Emma Schait for Stony Brook’s 10th goal of the game.
Johns Hopkins respond with back-to-back scores before Ohlmiller took the game back into her own hands with two straight goals in nearly two minutes.
The Blue Jays again scored twice, but the Seawolves finished the game on a three-goal run sparked by one more Ohlmiller goal.
