Noelle Lambert, the inspirational junior attacker for UMass-Lowell made her return to the lacrosse field on Saturday one to remember, scoring a goal in the River Hawks 16-1 victory over Hartford.

Lambert started all 17 games for UMass-Lowell in 2016, but shortly after the season ended she was involved in a moped accident shortly after the season. Lambert's left leg was amputated above the knee as a result of the accident.

Even then, lacrosse was on her mind.

"Lacrosse was one of the first things I thought about because I knew I lost my leg right on the scene," Lambert told US Lacrosse Magazine's Megan Schneider back in 2016. "I was terrified I wouldn't be able to play again."

Lambert began the load road back, following her personal motto of "Born to Run."

In the preseason this year, she passed UMass-Lowell's run test. In March, she was cleared by the NCAA to return to the field. On the women's lacrosse team's Instagram feed she said, "Don't call it a comeback. I've been here for years."
