It’s time to reveal which women’s teams will be playing in the championship game of the Nike / US Lacrosse Magazine Virtual NCAA Tournament.

After narrowly edging second-seeded Loyola, No. 3 Notre Dame is headed to the finals. Fifth-seeded Syracuse defeated No. 1 North Carolina behind a late surge in the final hour of polling, setting up an all-ACC championship game.

We’ll begin polling on Twitter (@uslacrossemag) on Friday. But this round is different. Instead of having 24 hours to vote, we’re giving fans three full days. We’ll be active on Twitter with video highlights, team banter and more, so be sure to tune in all weekend.

A quick reminder of the tournament rules:

  • The fan choice will count for 50 percent of the result

  • US Lacrosse Magazine experts will account for the other 50 percent of the result

  • The champion will be revealed early next week
