On the eve of the USA Lacrosse Experience, Pat Kavanagh was a guest on “The Pat McAfee Show” and summed up the thoughts of so many lacrosse players as the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics draw nearer.
“It’s gonna be the toughest lacrosse team to make in the history of the sport,” said Kavanagh, a two-time NCAA champion at Notre Dame and a gold medalist with the U.S. U21 team.

“I couldn’t agree with that comment more,” said U.S. Women’s Sixes National Team head Lindsey Munday, herself a two-time gold medalist with the U.S. program. “It’s 10 field players, if you’re taking two goalies. There’s not a lot of room for people.”
That’s part of the reason why so many of the sport’s best players were in Indianapolis to compete in the inaugural USA Lacrosse Experience Oct. 11-13.
