The Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design remains ranked first in the NAIA, according to the second NAIA women's lacrosse coaches poll of the 2021 season.

SCAD is the reigning NAIA national invitational champion, having won the title for the past three years of competition, not counting the 2020 season which was cancelled due to COVID-19.

In 2020, SCAD started the year with a perfect 7-0 record before the season was canceled. Over the past four seasons, the Bees have compiled a 50-2 record – the two losses coming from NCAA Division II competitors – with three NAIA national championships.

After being picked to finish first in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), SCAD will open the 2021 season March 20 at home against  AAC opponent Point University.

The top 10 remains largely unchanged, with undefeated Keiser (Fla.) and 7-1 Life (Ga.) rising slightly in the rankings.

Methodology

  • The rating committee is comprised of eight raters — two raters per conference/group.

  • Each conference/group produces a conference rating from which raters will use to compile their national ballot. Only teams represented on the conference rating are eligible for the national ballot.

  • Each rater submits a top-15 ballot, which is used to produce the top-10 national rating and a list of other teams receiving votes.
