In the lone Division I men’s game Friday, Michigan defeated Air Force 14-9 behind a leading effort from freshman Kevin Mack and senior Chase Young, whose hat tricks helped keep the Wolverines’ unblemished record at home in tact.
While the Falcons opened with a shutout in the first quarter, Michigan responded with back-to-back goals from Brent Noseworthy and Mack to open the second quarter.
After two more Air Force tallies, the Wolverines got three straight goals – two from Young and one from Mack – two minutes later to knot it at five at halftime.

The Falcons again opened the half with a 3-1 run, but Michigan finished on top thanks to two four-goal spurts, first sparked by Young and then by Mack.
Sean McCanna tied the game again with 28 seconds left in the third quarter before Noseworthy recorded the go-ahead score two minutes into the fourth quarter.
Despite one final tally from Air Force with under 10 to play, Michigan never looked back. The Wolverines move to 4-0 at home and 4-2 on the season.
