Michael Sowers, one of the most exciting rookies in the Premier Lacrosse League, was hospitalized and kept overnight after a hit to the head during Sunday’s PLL game between Sowers’ Waterdogs LC and Cannons LC.

Sowers’ father, David Sowers, commented on a video of the hit that a CT scan of his son revealed trauma to the head.

Sowers scored on the play, but he was clearly shaken up. Reece Eddy was given a two-minute non-releasable penalty for the hit.

Sowers scored twice in his first professional game.
