There were only a couple weeks left before the postseason began, with conference tournaments on the horizon. Indications were that No. 1 Limestone would complete another undefeated season and cruise to the top seed, with No. 2 Le Moyne not far behind.
That changed this weekend. Limestone lost its undefeated season at the hands of Merrimack, which came back from down five goals to beat the Saints 18-13. Also, Le Moyne lost its second game of the season to Adelphi.
Just weeks before the NCAA tournament, we have the biggest shakeup in the Division II rankings in some time. As a result, we have a new No.1.

Merrimack (+3)
When you beat the No. 1 team in the country, you are bound to move up significantly in the rankings. The Warriors may have two losses, but they now hold the best win in all of Division II this season.
Adelphi (+3)
Let’s not forget about the other upset this weekend. Adelphi, which already owns a win over the new No. 1, took down Le Moyne by four goals. That win, if it wasn’t already the case, should surely get Adelphi into the tournament field.

Le Moyne (-4)
Le Moyne might be the second best team in the country, but it’s hard to put it there given its two losses. A loss to Southern New Hampshire in the snow isn’t great, but adding on the Adelphi game makes this team seem beatable. Still, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Dolphins in the final in a few weeks.
Lindenwood (-4)
It’s been a free fall for the Lions, which at one point sat in the No. 3 spot in the country. They’ve lost three of five games, including one this weekend to Walsh. Lindenwood had a great start to the season, but its season ended the wrong way.
Mount Olive (-3)
Mount Olive was rolling just two weeks ago, but it ran into Limestone and lost by four goals. This weekend, the Trojans fell to Queens (N.C.), making it two defeats in three games. Not a great way to head into the postseason.

Lake Erie
Lake Erie might be the most inconsistent team in the country. It lost four out of its first six games to start the season and has fallen to two teams out of the top 20. However, it beat Mount Olive, Seton Hill and most recently Mercy last weekend. The Storm may be 7-6, but they sit at 5-0 in the Great Midwest heading into a matchup with Mercyhurst.

Rollins
The Tars had a nice run in the top 20, but they lost consecutive games to Florida Southern and Florida Tech to end the regular season. And because of a three-way coinflip tiebreaker, Rollins won’t be playing in the Sunshine State tournament.
