Weather in the Northeast caused some adjustments and disruptions to games over the past week, but every team in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20 now has played at least once, including defending champion Le Moyne, which opened the year with a convincing 17-5 win over Indianapolis last Saturday. All-American Bryanna Fazio scored a career-high nine points with six goals and three assists to lead the offensive barrage.

Mercy, ranked 14th in the preseason, this week debuts in the top 10 at No. 9 on the strength of a 4-0 start. The Mavericks scored a combined 30 goals in victories over New Haven and Southern New Hampshire last week. Limestone, 4-1 overall, also returns to the top 10. There are no changes this week among the top seven in the poll.

The marquee game this week comes Wednesday with No. 1 Le Moyne visiting No. 3 West Chester. Also Wednesday, No. 5 LIU Post welcomes No. 17 Pace. No. 13 Grand Valley State and No. 14 Colorado Mesa tangle on Tuesday.

HOT

Mercy (+3)

National player of the year candidate Hunter Isnardi stole the show Saturday by scoring 10 first-half goals and finishing with a school-record 11 goals in an 18-12 win over Southern New Hampshire. The Mavericks are 4-0 for the third straight season.

NOT

Indianapolis (-7)

There’s no shame in losing to the top-ranked team, but UIndy was completely outclassed in its 17-5 loss to the defending champion Dolphins. Indianapolis trailed 11-2 at halftime and was outshot 26-16 in the game.

IN

St. Leo

St. Leo moves into the ranking for the first time this year after running its record to 4-0 overall with wins over Mt. Olive and Edinboro. The Lions are two victories shy of matching the best start in team history, which came last year, and they start an eight-game homestand Wednesday against Seton Hill.

OUT

Florida Tech (formerly No. 16)

FIT started the season ranked seventh but drops out of the ranking after falling to 2-3 overall. The Panthers were dominated in a home loss against unranked Queen’s, trailing 12-2 at halftime and eventually losing, 18-5.
