Two newcomers join the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls' National Top 25 this week, as Oak Knoll (N.J.) handed then-national No. 10 Bridgewater-Raritan its first loss of the season then followed it up with a win over then-No. 7 Summit (N.J.), while Loyola Academy (Ill.) extended its winning streak to 10 games after dominating Hinsdale Central (Ill.) and East Grand Rapids (Mich.).

But McDonogh (Md.) and Ridgewood (N.J.) stay 1-2, extending their undefeated records to 19-0 and 15-0, respectively.

The Mustangs rolled to a trio of wins last week, topping Eastport-South Manor (N.Y.), 7-4, Port Jefferson (N.Y.), 20-2, and East Hampton (N.Y.), 16-1. Meghan Tyrrell totaled eight goals and eight assists in the three wins. The Barons went 2-0 last week, opening with a 19-1 victory over Brockport (N.Y.) and following with a 16-6 win over Mercy (N.Y.). 4. Darien (Conn.), 10-3

The Blue Wave notched a pair of easy wins over Trumbull (Conn.) and Wilton (Conn.) last week, winning by a combined 36-5. Carly Schoudel recorded 11 saves and Christine Fiore scored four goals in the win over Wilton. Darien faces Fairfield-Ludlowe (Conn.), Norwalk (Conn.), and Fairfield Warde (Conn.) this week. Previous: 6

5. Eastport-South Manor (N.Y.), 12-2

The Sharks went 1-1 last week. After dropping a 7-4 loss to Mount Sinai, they bounced back to defeat East Islip (N.Y.), 15-4. Kasey Choma had six goals and three assists in the East Islip win. E-SM faces Center Moriches (N.Y.) this week. Previous: 4

6. Christian Brothers Academy (N.Y.), 9-2             

The Brothers also split games last week, shutting out Mexico (N.Y.), 23-0, and then dropping a 6-5 decision to rival West Genesee (N.Y.). 7. Pittsford (N.Y.), 11-1

The Panthers added three wins last week, beating Honeoye Falls-Lima (N.Y.), 13-6, Victor (N.Y.), 11-6, and Webster Thomas (N.Y.), 11-5. Kerry McKeever totaled nine goals and one assist as the Patriots went 2-0 last week. They defeated West Islip (N.Y.), 15-9, and then Lindenhurst (N.Y.), 16-2. Ward Melville plays Smithtown West (N.Y.) and Huntington (N.Y.) this week. Previous: 8

9. Bayport-Blue Point (N.Y.), 10-3

1. McDonogh (Md.), 19-0

The Eagles started out slow twice last week but had more than enough firepower to beat John Carroll (Md.), 15-8, on May 2 and Century (Md.), 17-6, on Thursday. Catie May (Maryland) totaled five goals and three assists to pace a well-balanced offense. McDonogh starts IAAM Tournament play Tuesday against St. Paul’s (Md.). Previous: 1

2. Ridgewood (N.J.), 15-0

The Maroons cruised to a 13^th straight Bergen County Tournament title last week, scoring easy wins over Holy Angels (N.J.), Immaculate Heart (N.J.) and Saddle River Day (N.J.). Hannah Cermack (Boston College) had four goals and two assists in an 18-8 victory in Saturday’s final.  They beat Ramapo (N.J.) in regular-season action on Monday, too. Previous: 2

3. Glenelg (Md.), 14-0

The Gladiators are through the regular season unscathed. They blew out Atholton (Md.) and Reservoir (Md.) to finish that run with Alayna Pagnotta (Jacksonville) finishing with a team-best 10 goals combined. Glenelg has the top seed in its region in the state tournament, which begins Wednesday. Previous: 3

4. Notre Dame Prep (Md.), 17-2

The Blazers had to rally past St. Paul’s (Md.) in their regular-season finale last Tuesday. They tallied the final three goals in an 8-7 victory, with Hannah Mardiney (Florida) providing the game-winning score. Notre Dame could get a rematch with top-ranked McDonogh in Saturday’s IAAM Tournament final. Previous: 4  

5. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (Va.), 22-1

The Saints ended their regular season with a flurry, winning four games in five days last week. That included Saturday’s 15-8 victory at Agnes Irwin (Pa.), which was ranked No. 11 nationally at the time. Zoe Belodeau (Penn) posted three goals and four assists in that one and 23 goals and six assists for the week. SSSA kicks off the ISL Tournament against Bullis (Md.) on Thursday. Previous: 5

6. Oak Knoll (N.J.), 13-3 

Nobody had a better week than the Royals. They started by handing then-national No. 10 Bridgewater-Raritan its first loss of the season May 1. Ali Baiocco (Stanford) posted five goals and an assist in the 13-7 triumph. After a win over New Providence, they beat then-No. 7 Summit (N.J.), 10-9, on Diana Kelly’s overtime score to claim the Union County Tournament crown. 7. Summit (N.J.), 12-2

The Hilltoppers came up short, 10-9, against Oak Knoll (N.J.) in Saturday’s Union County Tournament final. They scored the last four goals of regulation to force overtime but couldn’t keep the momentum going in overtime. It was their first defeat since the opening week of the season. Previous: 6  

8. Bridgewater-Raritan (N.J.) 12-1

The Panthers had their unbeaten run ended May 1 with a 13-7 loss to Oak Knoll (N.J.). They rebounded with a 15-5 win over Ridge (N.J.) on Wednesday, behind three goals and two assists from Hannah Hollingsworth (Rutgers). They’ll try to secure a Somerset County title this week. Previous: 7

9. Moorestown (N.J.), 13-2

The Quakers rolled to three comfortable wins last week, taking down Ocean City (N.J.), Holy Cross (N.J.) and Ridge (N.J.). Quinn Nicolai (Penn State) recorded 13 goals along the way. This is a big week with matchups against Inter-Ac power Agnes Irwin (Pa.) and unbeaten Lawrenceville (N.J.). Previous: 9

The Cardinals stumbled a bit midseason against a difficult schedule, but they’ve rebounded nicely. They grabbed a second straight WCAC title Monday with a victory over rival Good Counsel (Md.). Their season will finish in the Virginia independent school tournament. Previous: 10

1. Milton (Ga.), 15-4

The Eagles rolled to a 19-1 win over Dunwoody in the first-round of the Georgia 6A-7A state tournament. Sophie Baez led the team with two goals, two assists, five ground balls and two caused turnovers. The Eagles were scheduled to play Mill Grove in the second round on Monday. Previous: 1

2. Hutchison (Tenn.), 16-1

The Sting beat St. Mary’s Episcopal (Tenn.) 19-12 and Charlotte Country Day (N.C.) 18-8 before losing their regular-season finale to Walton (Ga.), 17-16 in overtime. Hutchison rallied from two down in the final minutes to extend the game but couldn’t pull it out in extra time. The Sting open the state playoffs this week. Previous: 2

3. Bishop Moore (Fla.), 20-4

The Hornets beat St. Thomas Aquinas in double overtime to claim their first FHSAA state title and complete their season. They had lost to STA earlier in the season. Previous: 3

4. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 18-2

The Raiders were the Florida state runners-up after falling to Bishop Moore in the final to end a 16-game win streak. Their only other loss was against American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) in the third game of the season – one they avenged with an overtime win in the final stage before the state semifinals. Previous: 4

5. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 19-1

The Stallions suffered their only loss of the season in the third-round of the Florida state playoffs, losing to St. Thomas Aquinas. Freshman Caitlyn Wurzburger finished the season with 101 goals and 117 assists. Previous: 5  

6. Episcopal School Dallas (Texas), 20-2

The Eagles won their first Texas state championship, beating Hockaday 16-10 for the title Sunday to cap an impressive run through the tournament. ESD opened with a 17-7 win over St. Michael’s and then beat Kingwood 17-7 in their semifinal on Saturday, setting up the showdown with Hockaday – the fourth meeting between the schools this year. The Eagles won three of them. Charlotte North had 13 goals, seven assists and 38 draw controls in the tournament, Anna Winkler added 12 goals and two assists and Jay Browne chipped in six goals, seven assists, seven groundballs and four caused turnovers. Previous: 10

7. North Gwinnett (Ga.), 18-1

The Bulldogs beat Grayson 23-3 in the opening round of the Georgia 6A-7A state tournament on Thursday. Haley Gorke led with six goals and an assist, and Liz Blumthal scored five times. North Gwinnett next meets Roswell on Tuesday. Previous: 7

8. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 16-2

The Crusaders beat Topsail 21-2 in the second round of the North Carolina state tournament. They play Millbrook on Tuesday in the third round. If the Crusaders win that, it sets up a likely showdown with top seed and unbeaten Apex (N.C.). Previous: 8

9. Lassiter (Ga.), 17-3

The Trojans took a 12-0 lead into halftime and beat Campbell 20-0 in the first round of the Georgia 6A-7A state tournament, as 14 players scored. Liz Harrison led with three goals and an assist. Lassiter then beat Northview 16-5 on Monday, behind Hannah Forbes’ five goals, to advance to the state quarterfinals on Friday. Previous: 9

10. Barron Collier (Fla.), 20-2

The Cougars’ season ended in the Florida state semifinals, but they took a huge step in getting to the Final Four. For the first time in program history, they beat perennial road block Vero Beach in the regional final. Previous: 6

Midwest Top 10

1. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 19-2

The Ramblers extended their winning streak to 10 games last week after dominating victories against Hinsdale Central (Ill.) and East Grand Rapids (Mich.). Loyola’s Brennan Dwyer, who is committed to Northwestern, scored 12 goals and had 20 draws last week. Previous: 1

2. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 14-2

The Bears closed out the regular season Friday with an 8-7 win at Sycamore (Ohio). Two days prior, Upper Arlington picked up a 14-3 win against crosstown rival New Albany (Ohio). Liv Schildy had three goals against New Albany, followed by five points against Sycamore. Previous: 2

3. Rockford (Mich.), 12-2

The Rams picked up a 22-3 win against Caledonia (Mich.) on Wednesday and added a 15-3 victory over Forest Hills United (Mich.) on Monday. Karrington Vander Molen and sister Mekenzie Vander Molen, who are both committed to Ohio State, each had four goals against Caledonia. Rockford began its toughest stretch of the year with the game against Forest Hills, as the last four teams on the schedule own a combined record of 43-15. Previous: 3

4. Massillon Jackson (Ohio) 14-0

The Polar Bears picked up a rare late-season break with 10 days off going into Monday’s match against North Canton Hoover (Ohio.), which they won 20-1. Jackson has a tough match on Wednesday against 12-2 Revere (Ohio). Previous: 4

5. Noblesville (Ind.), 10-0

Noblesville remained unbeaten following its 22-1 win over Westfield (Ind.) on Saturday. Elle Palmer scored four goals in the win. Noblesville closes out the regular season with tough contests against Kentucky Country Day and Cathedral (Ind.). Previous: 5

6. Eden Prairie (Minn.), 7-0

Eden Prairie picked up three more wins last week, beating Wayzata (Minn.) 19-3, Edina (Minn.) 17-5 and Prior Lake (Minn.) 18-6. Naomi Rogge scored 17 goals in three games last week, including seven against Prior Lake. Previous: 6

7. New Trier (Ill.), 15-3

After defeating Deerfield (Ill.) 16-3 on May 2, New Trier picked up a big win over Blake (Minn.) on Friday by a 12-7 ledger. New Trier’s regular season comes to a close this week after playing a trio of contests. Previous: 7

8. Catholic Central (Mich.), 10-2-1

The Cougars picked up a pair of wins and a tie last week, defeating Grand Rapids Christian (Mich.) 17-4 on Wednesday before playing to a 5-5 draw with Okemos (Mich.) and winning 14-4 against Marian (Mich.) in a doubleheader Saturday. The Cougars then added a 14-6 win over East Grand Rapids (Mich.) to being a tough week that also includes games against Rockford and Loyola. Previous: 9

9. Hinsdale Central (Ill.), 9-4

The Red Devils lost to top-ranked Loyola (Ill.) on Wednesday, but recovered to eke out a 10-9 win over East Grand Rapids (Mich.) on Saturday. Anna Santulli, a future Stanford Cardinal, scored four goals in the win over East Grand Rapids. Junior goalie Kelsie Chisholm posted 22 saves in two games last week. Previous: 10

10. Hudson (Ohio), 10-2

Hudson entered the rankings this week as the Explorers have been on a nine-game winning streak. During their streak, they have pulled off key wins against New Albany (Ohio) and Revere (Ohio). Hudson’s only losses this year were against Everest Academy (Ont.) and undefeated Massillon Jackson (Ohio). Maddie Valko scored a total of nine goals last week in wins over Cleveland Heights (Ohio) and Walsh Jesuit (Ohio). Previous: NR

1. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 21-0

After closing the book on a perfect regular season May 1, the Falcons opened the CIF San Diego Section Open Division playoffs with a 14-5 win over Mission Hills (Calif.) on Saturday. They meet La Costa Canyon (Calif.) in the semifinals Wednesday. Torrey Pines swept LCC in two meetings this season, the most recent being a 13-11 decision April 25. Previous: 1  

2. Novato (Calif.), 21-1

The Hornets claimed their third straight Marin County Athletic League title with a 20-4 rout of Marin Catholic (Calif.) on Friday. Junior Charlie Rudy (Colorado) led all scorers with six goals, including five in the first half, and added three assists. Now Novato’s focus turns toward defending its North Coast Section Division I title, as it hosts Acalanes (Calif.) in the first round Wednesday. Previous: 2  

3. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 13-2

The Mustangs added four more wins last week, including a 9-6 decision against Denver East on Thursday and a 9-5 victory at ThunderRidge (Colo.) in the regular-season finale Friday. Seniors Sydney Prokupek (three goals, one assist) and Claire Wright (four goals) and junior Lauren Russell (one goal, three assists) all finished with four points in the ThunderRidge game, while Wright and Russell led Colorado with three goals each against Denver East. 4. St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) 10-6

The Wildcats ended the season on a high note, cruising to a 14-6 win over former No. 5 California High (Calif.) in their lone game last week. Emma Knaus had four goals, and Catriona Barry added three. St. Ignatius has no postseason, as the West Bay Athletic League disbanded for girls lacrosse and the Central Coast Section offers no tournament. Previous: 4

5. Lake Oswego (Ore.), 15-2

The Lakers picked up two more wins last week, including a second win in as many weeks against rival West Linn (Ore.). After winning by nine goals April 24, they proved that was no fluke, this time beating the Lions 19-6 on Friday. Lauren Gilbert had six goals, three assists and 13 draw controls to pace Oswego, which also beat St. Mary’s Academy (Ore.) 9-8 last week. Gilbert had four goals in that game. Previous: 7

6. California High (Calif.), 15-3

The Grizzlies bounced back from their disappointing loss at St. Ignatius to beat Carondelet (Calif.) 15-8 in the final game of the regular season. Lexi Trucco led the team with seven points, all on assists, while Marissa Leonardi had five goals and one assist, and Isabella McHugh added four goals and one assist. Carolyn Kim collected eight saves in the cage. California is the No. 2 seed in the North Coast Section Division I playoffs, which begin Wednesday. Previous: 5 

7. Bainbridge Island (Wash.), 12-0

The Spartans head into the postseason on a roll after overcoming defending state champion Eastside Catholic (Wash.) in a shootout, 19-16, on Friday. Mackenzie Chapman led the way with seven goals and three assists, while Sophia Hagstromer added six goals and two assists. Bainbridge was set to play Bellingham (Wash.) in the first round of the state tournament Monday night. Previous: 6

8. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 12-3

The Bruins picked up a notable 17-7 win over Kent Denver (Colo.) on Wednesday before dominating Overland (Colo.), 22-1, in the regular-season finale Friday. Emma Godrey finished with six goals and three assists, Katherine Collins had six goals and two assists and Hali Sibilia added five goals and four assists for the week. Previous: 9

9. Menlo (Calif.), 15-2

The Knights head into the postseason on a 12-game win streak after closing the regular season with a pair of wins on the road against Sacred Heart Prep (Calif.) and Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) last week. Indie Varma had two goals and two assists in the 13-5 win over Sacred Heart, and Sophie Scola had a hat trick. Menlo earned the top seed in the West Bay Athletic League Foothill Division tournament and gets a bye into the semifinals Thursday. Previous: 10

10. La Jolla (Calif.), 16-2

The Vikings join the rankings by knocking Poway (Calif.) out with a 10-9 decision May 2 in their regular-season finale. The win, fueled by hat tricks from Sadie Lee and Kayla Nitahara, was a bounce-back from an April 27 loss to Torrey Pines. La Jolla’s other loss was to Cathedral Catholic (Calif.), one it later avenged. The Vikings beat Scripps Ranch 11-6 in the San Diego Section Open Division quarterfinals and meets Poway again in the semifinals Wednesday. Previous: NR
