BOSTON, Mass. — Major League Lacrosse announced today that the league will not operate the Dallas Rattlers for the 2020 MLL season.

The Dallas Rattlers competed for an MLL Championship in 2018 and experienced the longest winning streak of the 2019 season. The Rattlers are grateful to the fans who came out to the Star in support of the team and Play Lacrosse Day, Cancer Awareness Night, Community Heroes’ Day, Military Appreciation Night and more. The Rattlers were honored to have hosted Mayor Jeff Cheney at the team’s opening night and would like to sincerely thank the city of Frisco, their partners and the fans for the support. The Rattlers would also like to thank the Dallas Cowboys for their partnership.

Major League Lacrosse will maintain the Rattlers’ marks and colors for a return to the Dallas market.

Major League Lacrosse players are contracted with the league and will be a part of a new Major League Lacrosse franchise.
