GOALIE OF THE YEAR
The SPDR Goalie of the Year award honors the league’s most impressive goalie.
Brian Phipps, Chesapeake Bayhawks: His 56 saves and .533 save percentage were both good for third in the league.
Sean Sconone, Connecticut Hammerheads: He ranked first in the MLL in saves (76) and save percentage (.571).
Nick Marrocco, Boston Cannons: The league champion made 54 saves, including several close-up stops in the championship game.
DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Maverik Defensive Player of the Year award distinguishes the player whose defensive contributions to his team were exceptional during the season.
Michael Rexrode, Denver Outlaws: He corralled eight ground balls and caused three turnovers.
Ben Randall, New York Lizards: In five games, he totaled 21 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
Zach Goodrich, Boston Cannons: He had nine ground balls and three caused turnovers, two of which came in the championship game.
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Powell Offensive Player of the Year award is presented to the athlete whose offensive performance was outstanding throughout the season.
Ryan Lee, Denver Outlaws: His 18 goals were the most in the league.
Bryce Wasserman, Boston Cannons: He scored 14 goals and was named the MVP.
Lyle Thompson, Chesapeake Bayhawks: He also scored 14 goals, many of the jaw-dropping variety.
