Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) is surging, taking down then-No. 11 Boys' Latin, St. Mary's-Annapolis (Md.) and Severn (Md.) in the midst of a five-game winning streak. As a result, the Dons moved from No. 21 last week to No. 6 — a tie for the biggest mover of the week. Loyola Blakefield is tied atop the MIAA A Conference standings, and will have matchups with Gilman (Md.) and Mount St. Joseph (Md.) before a much-anticipated game against No. 5 McDonogh next week.

The other big mover? That would be Smithtown West (N.Y.). It moved from No. 23 to No. 8 this week after wins over Sachem East (N.Y.), Connetquot (N.Y.) and Huntington (N.Y.) last week. Smithtown West remains undefeated at 10-0 with wins over Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.) and Garden City (N.Y.). Speaking of Half Hollow Hills, it vaults from unranked to No. 10 thanks to victories over Lindenhurst (N.Y.), Ward Melville (N.Y.) and Mamaroneck (N.Y.) last week.

The Blue Wave’s win streak now sits at 62 games after posting decisive wins over St. Joseph-Trumbull (Conn.), Fairfield Warde (Conn.), and Wilton (Conn.) last week. Logan McGovern finished with four goals and five assists in the 20-1 win over Warde to surpass the 200-point plateau for his career. Previous: 1

2. Brunswick (Conn.), 9-0

The Bruins kept rolling last week as they posted wins over Lawrenceville (N.J), 12-6, Greenwich (Conn.), 17-5, and Hotchkiss (Conn.), 15-4. Jack Montinaro finished with two goals and three assists in the Hotchkiss win. Previous: 4

3. Chaminade (N.Y.), 8-1

The Flyers topped Wilton (Conn.), 9-8, last week. Will Kusnierek scored with 3:08 remaining in regulation to snap an 8-8 tie and Chaminade held on for the win. Kusnierek finished the game with three goals. Next up is rival St. Anthony’s (N.Y.) on Thursday. Previous: 5

4. Smithtown West (N.Y.), 10-0

The Bulls vault into the regional rankings after a 3-0 week extended their perfect start. They posted wins over Sachem East (N.Y.), Connetquot (N.Y.) and Huntington (N.Y.) last week. Connor Calderone won 20 of 21 faceoffs and John Hoffman added five goals and three assists in a 16-7 win over Huntington. West already owns impressive wins over Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.) and Garden City (N.Y.). Previous: NR

5. Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.), 9-1

The Thunderbirds make their debut in the regional rankings after posting wins over Lindenhurst (N.Y.), Ward Melville (N.Y.) and Mamaroneck (N.Y.) last week. Evan Stallone recorded 13 saves to lead Hills East to a 7-6 win over Ward Melville. Previous: NR

6. Ward Melville (N.Y.), 9-1

The Patriots dropped a 7-6 decision to Half Hollow Hills East (N.Y.) in their only game last week. Ward Melville netted three goals in the final minute to move to within one but came up short. Dylan Pallonetti scored two goals in the loss. Ward Melville will try to bounce back against Smithtown West on Wednesday. Previous: 2

7. Victor (N.Y.), 6-1

The Blue Devils went 1-1 last week. Victor topped Brighton (N.Y.), 13-4, and then dropped a 7-6 decision to Loyola Academy (Ill.). Chayse Ierlan stopped nine shots in the loss to Loyola, which is ranked in the Midwest. Previous: 3

8. Jamesville-DeWitt (N.Y,), 7-1

The Red Rams have won seven straight, including three games last week. J-D topped Cortland (N.Y.), 22-6, Central Square (N.Y.), 20-5, and Fayetteville-Manlius (N.Y.), 13-9. Griffin Cook finished with five goals and two assists in the F-M win and now has 26 goals and 24 assists in eight games. Previous: 6

9. Massapequa (N.Y.), 7-1

The Chiefs picked up a pair of wins last week, topping Commack (N.Y.), 12-5, and Oceanside (N.Y.), 15-4.  Timmy Ley netted five goals in the Oceanside game. Previous: 7

10. St. Anthony’s (N.Y.), 7-2

The Friars posted a 3-0 record last week, notching wins over Kellenberg (N.Y.), Fordham Prep (N.Y.), and New Canaan (Conn.). Brennan O’Neill netted five goals in a 16-7 win over New Canaan (Conn.). St. Anthony’s was set to play Iona Prep (N.Y.) on Monday. Previous: 9

Mid-Atlantic Top 10

1. McDonogh (Md.), 9-4

Five straight wins, combined with another crazy week in the MIAA A Conference, propel the Eagles into the No. 1 spot. Last week, they collected wins over Archbishop Spaulding (Md.) and St. Paul’s (Md.). A meeting with another surging team, Loyola-Blakefield (Md.) will be a good test next week. Previous: 2

2. Loyola-Blakefield (Md.), 11-3

The Dons have won five straight, including wins against Boys’ Latin (Md.), St. Mary’s (Md.) and Severn (Md.) to put them in a tie for first in the MIAA A Conference. They play Gilman (Md.) and Mount St. Joseph (Md.) this week before finishing the season with road games at McDonogh and Calvert Hall (Md.). Previous: 9

3. Boys’ Latin (Md.), 9-3

In a week where it appears anyone can beat anyone else in the MIAA, Boys’ Latin rebounded from a two-game losing streak to topple previous No. 1 Calvert Hall (Md.), 8-5. Brendan Crouse led the Lakers with three goals in the win over the Cardinals. Previous: 4

4. Calvert Hall (Md.), 9-3

The Cardinals have lost two of their last three, but those losses were by a combined five goals against McDonogh and Boys’ Latin. The schedule doesn’t get easier with games against Mount St. Joseph (Md.) and Severn (Md.) this week. Previous: 1

5. Haverford School (Pa.), 10-3

The Fords’ winning streak extended to five games with victories over Penn Charter (Pa.), La Salle College (Pa.) and Malvern Prep (Pa.) last week. Sophomore Chris Tsetsekos won 19 of 26 faceoffs in the 12-9 win over Malvern Prep. Previous: 5

6. Paul VI (Va.), 12-3

The Panthers kept themselves in the hunt for the No. 1 spot in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference with a 9-7 win over DeMatha (Md.) last week. They’ve now won eight straight games. Previous: 6

7. Gonzaga (D.C.), 11-3

The Purple Eagles’ fate rest in their own hands with conference games against St. John’s College (D.C.) and DeMatha remaining. They beat Bishop Ireton (Va.) 18-5 on Sunday after wins over St. Mary’s Ryken (Md.) and Good Counsel (Md.) last week. Sandwiched in their conference schedule is a meeting at Landon (Md.) on Tuesday. 8. Upper Dublin (Pa.), 9-0

The Cardinals continue to rack up wins, including against Springfield Township (Pa.) and Plymouth-Whitemarsh (Pa.) last week, but they have some tough games on the horizon. They face Abington (Pa.) on Wednesday before traveling to Souderton (Pa.) on Friday and hosting unbeaten Avon Grove (Pa.) on Monday. Previous: 8

9. Summit (N.J.), 7-0

Harry Kilkowski scored six goals and had two assists as the Hilltoppers defeated Westfield (N.J.) 15-5 last week. They face No. 10 Delbarton (N.J.), which is coming off its first loss of the year, on Tuesday. Previous: 10

10. Delbarton (N.J.), 6-1

The Green Wave crashed against Chatham (N.J.) last week, losing to the Cougars, 8-6, for only the second time in school history. They have a chance to rebound this week, but it has to come against the undefeated Summit. Previous: 3

South Top 10

1. Lambert (Ga.), 16-0

The Longhorns opened the week with a 16-4 win over South Forsyth (Ga.). They beat Lovett 17-6 on Saturday, and that was the most goals they’ve allowed in a game all season. Lambert finishes the regular season Wednesday against West Forsyth (Ga.). Previous: 1  

2. Oxbridge Academy (Fla.), 17-2

The ThunderWolves won the Florida High School Athletic Association District 25 championship with wins over Wellington and King’s Academy. Reece Riccardo had four goals and four assists in the 16-3 win over Wellington, and Jack Kilian had three goals. In the 16-5 win over King’s Academy in the championship game, Bennett Bower scored a school-record seven goals. Riccardo, Kilian and Connor Davies all had two assists. The ThunderWolves play St. Andrew’s in an FHSAA regional quarterfinal on Friday. Previous: 2

3. Middle Creek (N.C.), 16-0

The Mustangs remained unbeaten with two in-state victories last week. They beat Green Hope 18-2 and then beat Apex Friendship 16-4. Middle Creek finishes the regular season with a game against Apex on Tuesday. Previous: 3 

4. Episcopal Dallas (Texas), 14-2

The Eagles opened a big week by finishing off an 11-10 win over Dallas Jesuit (Texas) in double overtime, completing a game that began the previous week and was halted by weather in the third quarter. Episcopal Dallas then closed the regular season with three more in-state wins, beating Episcopal Houston 22-1, Kinkaid 13-8 and St. Mark’s 10-2 to win their fifth consecutive Southwest Preparatory Conference championship. 5. Highland Park (Texas), 10-3

The Scots started the week with a 15-2 win over Rockwell (Texas) and then beat previously-ranked Dallas Jesuit 8-5 to wrap up the regular season. They open the city playoffs at St. Mark’s (Texas) on Thursday. Previous: 5  

6. Centennial (Ga.), 14-1

The Knights stretched their win streak to seven games with a 12-6 win over Northview (Ga.) in their only game of the week. Nicky Solomon had five goals and three assists. Colin Hall and Ryan Siracusa each had two goals and an assist. After a game against Lassiter (Ga.) on Tuesday, the Knights host the Legacy Cup event on Friday and Saturday. Previous: 6

7. The Woodlands (Texas), 17-1

The Highlanders picked up two in-state wins to wrap up the regular season, beating Strake Jesuit 19-2 and Kingwood 12-1. Texas city playoffs begin this week. Previous: 7

8. St. Andrew’s (Fla.), 14-2

The Scots beat Boca Raton (Fla.) 20-2 and St. John Paul II (Fla.) to in the District 26 championship. They play an FHSAA regional quarterfinal against No. 2 Oxbridge on Friday.  Previous: 8 

9. Jupiter (Fla.), 16-2

The Warriors claimed the District 24 championship with victories over Jupiter Christian and Benjamin. They beat Jupiter Christian 21-2 before winning the title with a 14-6 decision over Benjamin. The Warriors play an FHSAA regional quarterfinal on Friday against St. Edward’s (12-5).  Previous: 9

10. Louisville Trinity (Ky.), 8-2

The Shamrocks beat Lexington Catholic (Ky.) 19-5 in their only game of the week. They play a home game Wednesday against Lexington Christian (Ky.) before heading to Centennial for the Legacy Cup. Previous: 10

Midwest Top 10

1. Culver Academy (Ind.), 15-0

After defeating regional power Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.) 15-8 on Saturday, the Eagles defeated Hill Academy (Ont.) 8-7 in a three-overtime thriller between arguably the two top high school teams in North America. Culver rallied after trailing 5-2 in the contest to Hill, and Harvard signee Austin Madronic scored the winner on his third goal of the game. Previous: 1

2. Loyola Academy (Ill.), 10-1

The Ramblers traveled to New York last week and went 2-1 against three quality opponents. Loyola had wins at No. 4 nationally-ranked Victor (N.Y.), 7-6, and Ithaca (N.Y.), 12-7, but lost its first game against West Genesee (N.Y.) by a 9-6 ledger. Connor Koch scored in all three matches last week, including four tallies against Ithaca. Alex Sczcupak came up big on the faceoff X, winning 13 of 14 attempts against Ithaca. Previous: 3

3. Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.), 6-1

The Shamrocks had blowout victories over Our Lady St. Mary’s (Mich.) and De LaSalle (Mich.), but lost 15-8 to No. 1 Culver on Saturday. Joey Kamish scored nine goals in three games last week, and Pete Thompson scored twice and added three assists against Culver. Previous: 2

4. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 10-0

The Golden Bears shut out Newark (Ohio) 23-0 on April 17 and followed that by eking a 5-4 win over Olentangy Liberty (Ohio) on Thursday. Upper Arlington had 14 different goal scorers against Newark, and Ben Tjaden led the way against Olentangy Liberty with three goals. Goalie Jake Carlin made 13 stops in the win over Olentangy Liberty. Previous: 4

5. Cincinnati St. Xavier (Ohio), 8-1

The Bombers defeated their crosstown rivals and defending state champion Cincinnati Moeller 14-10 on April 18. St. Xavier followed up two days later with a 12-11 overtime win over then-No. 10 Cleveland St. Ignatius (Ohio). Johnny Marrocco scored five times against Moeller and twice against St. Ignatius. Jack Kilfoil scored six goals against St. Ignatius, and Ross Wiseman stopped 13 shots. Previous: 5

6. New Trier (Ill.), 9-1

The Trevians recovered from their April 14 loss against Cincinnati St. Xavier (Ohio) with a 9-6 win over Lake Forest (Ill.) on Thursday. Johnny Maday had four goals and Henry Freedman scored two goals against Lake Forest. As part of a busy schedule this week, New Trier visits Culver on Friday. The Trevians were scheduled t play Evanston Township (Ill.) on Monday. Previous: 6

7. MICDS (Mo.), 10-2

The Rams are 8-0 against in-state opponents this year after defeating Eureka (Mo.) 16-6 on April 18. MICDS followed that win with a 9-6 victory against Carmel (Ind.) on Saturday. Graham Bunny Jr. scored six goals and added three assists in MICDS’ win over Eureka. Previous: 7

8. Brother Rice (Mich.), 5-4

After a 2-4 start to the season, the Warriors have strung together three straight wins. Last week, Brother Rice defeated Detroit Country Day, 9-5, and Cranbrook, 9-5. Unbeaten Forest Hills Central (Mich.) is on the slate this week. Previous: 8

9. Blue Valley (Kan.), 12-0

The Tigers remained unbeaten last week after defeating Rockhurst Jesuit (Kansas) 7-6, and beating Lawrence All City (Kan.) 15-1. Junior JP Tymosko scored four goals and added an assist in Blue Valley’s win over Rockhurst Jesuit. Previous: 9

10. Columbus DeSales (Ohio), 8-1

Ever since losing to Cincinnati St. Xavier (Ohio) to start the season, the Stallions have won eight in a row against solid competition. Last week, DeSales defeated Upper St. Clair (Pa.), 11-4, and Springboro (Ohio), 8-5. Tommy Clayton had five goals and an assist against St. Clair and added two goals against Springboro. Previous: NR

West Top 10

1. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 12-1

The Falcons broke a 7-7 deadlock in the fourth quarter against ranked St. Margaret’s Episcopal (Calif.), pulling away with three goals in a 90-second span en route to an 11-7 victory. Alex Pistorius tallied three gals, Blake Eribeck had three assists and Stephan Lauter had 10 saves in the cage. Torrey Pines had opened the week with an easy 22-2 win over San Dieguito (Calif.) and finished it off with a 21-9 blowout of Bishop’s School (Calif.). Previous: 1

2. Regis Jesuit (Colo.), 9-1

Fourteen players scored goals, as the Raiders cruised to a 15-0 win over Rangeview (Colo.) in their only game last week. Max Rizzi was the lone player to score multiple goals, finishing with two goals on four shots, and Anders Erickson led with three points, all on assists. Regis’ game against Colorado Academy (Colo.) scheduled for Saturday was postponed by snow. Previous: 2 

3. La Costa Canyon (Calif.), 13-1

The Mavericks enter Friday’s matchup with No. 1 Torrey Pines on a six-game win streak after adding two more victories last week. They had no trouble with Carlsbad (Calif.) in a 20-5 decision, but needed a third-quarter rally to take down ranked Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.), 13-10, on Friday. J.J. Sillstrop led the charge by scoring two of his five goals in the third quarter, and Hunter Binney preserved the win in goal with 11 saves. Previous: 3 

4. Palos Verdes (Calif.), 14-3

The Sea Kings closed the regular season with a pair of wins over Oak Park (Calif.), 11-3, and San Clemente (Calif.), 9-3. Palos Verdes is allowing just 5.0 goals per game and is gearing up for a run through the Southern Section playoffs after winning eight straight. Previous: 4 

5. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 10-2

The Bruins’ one-goal loss to Mountain Vista (Colo.) is well in the past as they’ve won five straight, including an 11-8 win over Arapahoe (Colo.) last week. Gabriel Minisini led with four goals and one assist, and Knox Dent had eight saves. Cherry Creek’s other loss was by one goal to Regis Jesuit. Mountain Vista dropped out of the rankings this week after suffering back-to-back losses. Previous: 7

6. St. Margaret’s Episcopal (Calif.), 14-2

The Tartans bounced back from their recent loss to Palos Verdes (Calif.) with a notable 13-9 win over Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.) but couldn’t complete a takedown of Torrey Pines as 11 turnovers hampered their chances. Andy Shin and Garrett Kuntz led the offense with two goals and two assists each. Previous: 5

7. San Ramon Valley (Calif.), 16-2

The Wolves let a 5-0 advantage slip as Corona del Mar (Calif.) pulled within two during a 4-1 run in the third quarter but they managed to hold the visitors off the board the rest of the way for a 9-4 victory in their biggest game last week. They then finished off Foothill-Pleasanton (Calif.), 14-5. Previous: 8 

8. Bellevue (Wash.), 10-2

The Wolverines followed their trip East with a big 17-5 win over Issaquah (Wash.) on April 18, then held off West Linn (Ore.) 11-9 on Saturday. Paul Johnson had three goals against Issaquah, and Tom Heed had two goals and three assists. Previous: 9

9. Oregon Episcopal (Ore.), 7-0

The Aardvarks were squeezed out last week but jump back in with Foothill-Santa Ana (Calif.) and Mountain Vista (Colo.) dropping out. They remain unbeaten after collecting wins over Tualatin (Ore.) and Lakeridge (Ore.) last week. Episcopal was scheduled to play at Sherwood (Ore.) on Monday. Previous: NR

10. Columbine (Colo.), 9-1

The Rebels re-enter the rankings after a week that included handing Dakota Ridge (Colo.) its first loss. Columbine scored the first seven goals in the 7-2 win. Gabe Mein scored three goals, and Nick Darrow poured in a pair to lead the offense. The Rebels have wins over Arapahoe (Colo.), Bainbridge Island (Wash.) and Mercer Island (Wash.). Previous: NR
