The 2018 season in Division II men’s lacrosse will be remembered as the one in which Merrimack finally broke through. The Warriors dominated the regular season and won their first NCAA championship over Saint Leo.

Merrimack returns its top three scorers from that team — Sean Black, Christian Thomas and Charlie Bertrand — and as a result retain the top rankings in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Men’s Preseason Top 20. The Warriors are a strong favorite to find itself back in the title game come Memorial Day weekend.

But Le Moyne will be a force in the Northeast-10 and capable of making a run itself. With Dan Entenmann back to lead the Dolphins, they slot in at No. 2 in Division II.
