The Division III season hasn’t really gotten going, but we did get to enjoy a top 10 matchup this weekend. Defending champion Salisbury took on Lynchburg in an early season battle and did what many expected.

The Sea Gulls used six goals from Garrett Reynolds to pull away for the 13-9 win — their second of the young season. Down a few key players from last year’s team due to graduation, Salisbury looked as strong as usual.

Also active in the top 5 was York, which blew out Washington & Lee in its season opener. Brendan McGrath had six goals and an assist for the Spartans.

Salisbury, York, RIT, Cabrini and Denison are all active this weekend, so the rankings could change come next week.
