No. 1 Lindenwood survived its first week at the top in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women's Top 20, fending off strong challenges against two ranked teams and winning three games overall. The Lions improved to 15-0 after rallying from a halftime deficit to defeat then-No. 12 Grand Valley State, 15-13, and outlasting No. 13 Regis, 16-12. The Lions are idle this week and return to action on April 25 with a non-conference visit to No. 7 LIU Post.

There were no changes among the top six in this week’s poll. No. 2 Adelphi has won 13 straight since its season-opening loss at Florida Southern, and No. 3 Le Moyne remains as one of three undefeated teams at 13-0. Those two continue to move closer to their April 25 showdown that will likely determine the NE10's regualr season champion.

The only significant movement in the top 10 was a drop of three spots by No. 10 Mercy after losing to LIU Post. Having won seven of their last eight, the Pioneers are the only undefeated team in the East Coast Conference, but face a major challenge Saturday against No. 12 NYIT.

HOT

Indianapolis (+4)

The Hounds enjoyed a solid week in which they avenged two of their earlier losses, defeating both Grand Valley State and Tiffin in key conference games. UIndy pulled back to within one game of GVSU in the battle for first place in the Great Lakes Conference.

Tampa (+3)

The Spartans rebounded from their loss to No. 5 Florida Tech by overwhelming Palm Beach Atlantic, 17-4. Junior Rachel Crawford had three goals and four assists, notching her 100th career point.

NOT

Grand Valley State (-4)

GVSU led top-ranked Lindenwood by one at halftime, but watched the Lions score six straight goals to open the second half and snap Grand Valley’s eight-game winning streak. The Lakers then succumbed to another second half rally four days later, falling to UIndy, 18-16.

Mercy (-3)

The Mavericks suffered their first ECC loss of the year while allowing a season-high in goals, falling 25-18 at No. 7 LIU Post. Tied at 11 at halftime, the Pioneers outscored Mercy 14-7 in the second half to take sole possession of first place in the league.

NEW

Slippery Rock

The Rock has a season-best five-game winning streak and currently stands fourth in the PSAC. SRU’s win over Bloomsburg last week was just its second victory in the series since 1989.

OUT

Merrimack (previously No. 19)

Warriors had their six-game winning streak snapped with a 14-4 loss at No. 3 Le Moyne, and are one of three teams tied in a fourth place logjam in the NE10. Merrimack hosts third place Bentley on Tuesday.
