In a rare regular-season matchup of 1-v-2, Lindenwood tightened its grip on the top spot in the Nike / US Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20 by defeating Indianapolis 12-10 last Thursday. Six goals from Emma Arnold and four from Lexy Biller helped the Lions hold off then-No. 2 UIndy. A rematch is likely looming this week, as these two teams begin play as the top two seeds in the inaugural GLVC championship tournament.
There are a few other conference tournaments that are also set to begin, including the NE10 tournament and the PSAC tournament. No. 2 Le Moyne is the clear favorite in the NE10, while the PSAC event features three members of this week’s top 10 — No. 4 West Chester, No. 7 East Stroudsburg and No. 8 Seton Hill. The undefeated Griffins were one of the big climbers in this week’s Top 20, as they join the top 10 for the first time this year.
In the South, No. 5 Queens defeated No. 6 Limestone in Sunday’s final of the South Atlantic Conference tournament, while No. 16 Mount Olive claimed its second Carolinas Conference title with a win over Belmont Abbey.
Further south, it was a quiet week in the SSC, where postponements across the board kept No. 9 Tampa, No. 11 Rollins and No. 13 Florida Southern all sidelined. The SSC has also canceled its postseason tournament for this season, providing little opportunity for these teams to further improve their resumes.

Seton Hill (+5)
The Griffins enjoyed a busy but productive week, collecting three victories in six days to extend their unblemished record to 12-0. Having already clinched its first-ever PSAC Western Division title, Seton Hill looks to cap its first undefeated regular season Wednesday at Bloomsburg before beginning play in the PSAC Tournament on May 5.
Roberts Wesleyan (+3)
The Redhawks, 11-0 overall, remain one of five undefeated teams after claiming their best win of the season last Thursday, beating then-No. 11 Grand Valley State 12-9. RWC will try to close out its regular season with its second victory of the year over No. 19 Mercy before beginning play in the ECC tournament on May 6.

St. Anselm (-4)
The Hawks began play last week standing at 6-0 but suffered back-to-back NE10 losses against Bentley and Assumption to fall from the ranks of the unbeaten. St. Anselm ended the two-game slide with a 17-7 won over Stonehill on Saturday in a celebration of its seniors. The Hawks conclude their regular season Tuesday at Saint Michael’s.

Mercy (No. 19)
The Mavericks extended their winning streak to seven games with Saturday’s senior day victory over ECC foe D’Youville, highlighted by senior Mary Mackie becoming the 13th player in program history to reach the 100-point milestone. Mercy will try to avenge its only loss of the year, an overtime loss to Roberts Wesleyan in mid-March, when the teams meet in this week’s regular-season finale.

Belmont Abbey (was No. 20)
Following a 10-1 start to the season, the Abbey struggled down the stretch, losing three of its final four. Belmont led Mount Olive by one goal at halftime of Sunday’s CC championship game but was outscored 15-7 in the second half en route to a 23-16 loss.
