SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Le Moyne College community is mourning the sudden passing of Kaiden Tubbert, a junior midfielder on the men's lacrosse team, early [Friday] morning.

"We are deeply saddened by this incredible loss, and we extend our condolences to Kaiden's family and all those who knew him," said Le Moyne President Linda LeMura. "I know that I can count on the compassion that is a hallmark of Le Moyne to get us through this extraordinarily difficult time. I ask that you keep him, his family and friends in your prayers."

"I would like to send my deepest sympathies and prayers to the Tubbert family," said Dan Sheehan, head men's lacrosse coach at Le Moyne. "Kaiden had a smile that would light up a room, a personality that lit up our locker room every day and an energy that made our team better."

Tubbert, a management and leadership and marketing double major and Auburn, New York, native, was a member of the Le Moyne midfield unit over the last three seasons.

Tubbert is a 2017 graduate of Bridgton Academy in North Bridgton, Maine, where he lettered in lacrosse and ice hockey.
