The Highlanders opened the week with an easy win over Seven Lakes (Texas) and then made a statement with a 9-7 win against Highland Park (Texas) as seven different players scored goals. Jack Barron had two goals and one assist to lead the way against HP. Previous: 4
3. Lambert (Ga.), 11-1
The Longhorns extended their win streak to five games with victories over Milton (Ga.) and small-school power Westminster (Ga.). They beat Westminster (11-2) 14-5, a much easier win after last year squeezing past the Wildcats by a single goal. Previous: 3
4. Highland Park (Texas), 7-2
The Scots suffered their first in-state loss to The Woodlands in one of the best games of the year for Texas lacrosse. Games with two other top Texas teams, Episcopal Dallas and Dallas Jesuit, are on the schedule later in April for the Scots, who were scheduled to play Coppell on Tuesday. Previous: 2
5. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 10-1
The Crusaders stretched their current win streak to six games with three wins last week. They opened the week with a convincing 12-5 win over Bergen Catholic (N.J.), and then beat in-state challengers Jack Britt and Christ School. They were also scheduled to play at Pinecrest (N.C.) on Monday. Previous: 6
6. Centennial (Ga.), 10-2
The Knights opened the week by knocking off Lassiter (Ga.) in a matchup of ranked teams and then picked up another good win over ranked St. Andrew’s on a trip to Florida. The Knights were unable to make it a clean sweep, though, falling 16-11 at Oxbridge Academy (Fla.). Nicky Solomon had 12 goals and 13 assists, Colin Hall had 11 goals, Ryan Siracusa had nine goals and Luke Sadd won 41 of 65 faceoffs in the three games. Eric Cecere totaled 41 saves in the cage. The Trojans opened the week with a 14-6 loss to Centennial, but they beat Allatoona 13-7 to rebound. Their two losses have come in their last five games, though to quality opponents. Previous: 5
8. Ponte Vedra (Fla.), 16-1
The Sharks picked up three more wins to end the regular season with an eight-game win streak. They won at Matanzas (Fla.), and then beat Maclay (Fla.) and Oak Hall (Fla.) at home. Clay Welch finished the three games with nine goals, Reid Smith added eight, Jack Burke and Matt Keeler had seven and Dylan Hess chipped in six. Ponte Vedra begins tournament play this week with a district semifinal Wednesday against Bartram Trail (Fla.). Previous: 8

The Ascenders recently capped off their varsity season with a 20-6 win over Cannon School (N.C.). Their only loss was to Ponte Vedra, 15-13, on March 4, and they own notable in-state victories against St. Andrew’s, Oxbridge and Benjamin. IMG does not participate in the FHSAA playoffs. Previous: 9

1. Culver Prep Academy (Ind.), 7-1
The Eagles recovered from their first loss of the year by defeating three nationally-ranked teams. Sandwiched between wins at then-No. 17 Gonzaga (D.C.) and No. 11 St. Paul’s (Md.), Culver defeated nationally top-ranked McDonogh (Md.) 12-9 on March 29. Jack Stevens and William Clayton each had three goals against McDonogh. Previous: 1
2. Upper Arlington (Ohio), 2-0
After easily defeating Thomas Worthington on March 28, the top-ranked team in Ohio beat the second-ranked team in the state, as the Golden Bears earned an 8-5 decision against Cincinnati St. Xavier on Saturday. Senior goaltender Davis Kurz registered 14 saves against St. Xavier. Previous: 5
3. Cathedral (Ind.), 5-2
Cathedral has responded from an 0-2 start to the season by winning five in a row, including wins over Midwest-ranked teams Cincinnati St. Xavier and Brother Rice last week. The Irish, whose losses were to a pair of South-region Kentucky teams, finished the week with an 11-3 win over Detroit Country Day (Mich.). 4. Brother Rice (Mich.), 2-1
Following a tight 7-6 loss at Cathedral (Ind.), Brother Rice bounced back to defeat former Midwest No. 3 MICDS (Mo.) 13-12 in overtime on Saturday. Among his six goals, Jack Kelly scored both the game-tying and game-winning goals over MICDS. Previous: 2

MICDS faltered last week after a 4-0 start. The Rams lost to Detroit Country Day (Mich.) 11-8 before falling to Brother Rice (Mich.) on Saturday. MICDS has a tough test on Tuesday hosting unbeaten Lafayette (Mo.). Previous: 3

The high-flying Bombers’ offense was shot down last week with a 5-4 loss against Cathedral, followed by an 8-5 loss against Upper Arlington. After St. Xavier scored 65 goals in its first three games, the Bombers only managed nine goals in the last two contests. Previous: 6

DeSmet Jesuit is on a five-game winning streak after defeating a pair of teams visiting from Kansas. The Spartans defeated Rockhurst Jesuit by a 13-8 ledger on Friday, followed by an 18-5 win over Shawnee Mission East on Sunday. Previous: 8

The Falcons continue to prove themselves as the top team in the West. Last week, they added wins over three ranked opponents, easily dispatching of former No. 10 Arapahoe (Colo.), 17-4, and No. 3 Regis Jesuit (Colo.), 12-2, before emerging with a 10-7 win over No. 5 Corona del Mar (Calif.). Torrey Pines had lost 10-7 to Regis last year. Zach Friedland had seven goals combined in the Regis and Coronado wins. Previous: 1

Coming off an impressive win over Poway, the Mavericks handed Regis Jesuit (Colo.) its first loss before Torrey Pines got a crack at the Raiders. Canyon’s 9-8 win, followed by a 17-4 decision against Bishop’s School (Calif.), further improved the Mavs’ stock just one week after entering the rankings. 4. Regis Jesuit (Colo.), 3-2
It was a tough week for the Raiders, who went 2-0 against two of California’s top teams, but they remain the team to beat in Colorado. Regis, which hadn’t been held below 14 goals through the first three games, looks to bounce back Wednesday against Rocky Mountain (Colo.) after totaling 10 goals in the two games last week. Braden Host had 11 saves in each of the losses to Torrey Pines and La Costa Canyon. Previous: 3
5. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 3-1
The Bruins haven’t played since their 21-5 win over Arapahoe (Colo.) 21-5 on March 22. They should return refreshed and ready for unbeaten Columbine (Colo.) on Tuesday. The only blip on Cherry Creek’s résumé was a 14-11 loss to Regis on March 15. Previous: 4

The Wolverines had a busy week with five games over seven days, but came through unfazed. They added four out-of-state wins in that stretch, including a 13-3 win over Denver East (Colo.) and 15-6 victory over Palo Verde (Nev.). Paul Johnson had three goals, one assist and seven groundballs against Denver East, and Cameron McMahon and Matthew Marino each had hat tricks against Palo Verde. Previous: 7

The Sea Kings dropped their first loss of the season to Torrey Pines, 10-7, but hadn’t been held below double digits in scoring, nor given up more than six goals in any of the six games before that. The Titans bounced back from a one-goal loss to La Costa Canyon with three wins last week, including notable victories against Coronado (Calif.) and a blowout of Arapahoe (Colo.). Nick Beeson tallied five goals each in the 12-7 win over Coronado and in the 18-6 win over Arapahoe, putting him at 30 for the season and 125 for his career. They were set to face previously ranked Monte Vista-Danville (Calif.), which dropped out with a loss to sub-.500 Bellarmine Prep, on Monday. Previous: 9
