1. Lambert (Ga.), 7-0

The Longhorns won twice more last week to move to the top of the rankings. They opened the King of Spring Face-Off Classic with a 14-3 win over Northwest Guilford (N.C.). and added a 13-3 win over Lake Norman (N.C.) the next day. The Longhorns play No. 8 Centennial on Friday in a game with big ramifications. Previous: 2

2. Ponte Vedra (Fla.), 8-1

Walker Azzaro scored five goals and Dylan Hess had four goals and seven assists to lead the Sharks to a 19-3 win over Bartram Trail (Fla.) before they headed to North Carolina for the King of Spring Face-Off Classic. Ponte Vedra opened the event with a 19-1 win against previously-unbeaten Wando (S.C.) before losing 16-7 to national No. 4 Calvert Hall (Md.). Previous: 3

3. Oxbridge Academy (Fla.), 6-2

The ThunderWolves beat Wellington (Fla.) 17-2 before taking down previously-unbeaten Jupiter (Fla.) 5-2 in a defensive battle. Connor Davies and Reece Riccardo each had a goal and an assist, and Christian Tomei was outstanding in goal with 17 saves. Oxbridge then took a pair of tough losses to nationally ranked teams. The ThunderWolves fell 12-5 to Boys’ Latin (Md.), which is ranked No. 7 nationally. Tomei had 14 saves in the loss, and five different players scored one goal. They lost 14-7 to national No. 6 McDonogh (Md.) on Monday. Previous: 4

4. Dallas Jesuit (Texas), 6-1

The Rangers opened the week with a 6-3 win over Plano West (Texas) before suffering their first defeat in a road game against Archbishop Spalding (Md.), 8-6, on Saturday. They wrap up their trip to Washington D.C. against Gonzaga on Tuesday. Previous: 1

5. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 5-1

The two-time Florida state champions rebounded from their first in-state loss since 2015 by beating NSU University School, 13-2. The Raiders have big games this week against McDonogh (Md.) and Loyola-Blakefield (Md.). Previous: 5

6. The Woodlands (Texas), 7-0

The Highlanders picked up a huge win Saturday and jumped into the rankings when they beat St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) 8-7. St. Ignatius was ranked No. 1 in the West Region last week and No. 14 in the country. Previous: NR

7. Middle Creek (N.C.), 4-0

The Mustangs beat Lassiter (Ga.) 9-3 in the King of Spring Face-Off Classic on Saturday. It was their lowest-scoring game so far after outscoring their first three opponents 49-14. Previous: 6  

8. Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas), 5-1

In their lone game of the week, the Eagles beat Coppell (Texas) 10-4. They play two games in California this week, at Poway and at Cathedral Catholic. Poway was the San Diego CIF Open Division champion in 2015 and 2016. Previous: 7

9. Centennial (Ga.), 6-0

The Knights opened the King of Spring with a 19-11 win over previously unbeaten Apex (N.C.) and then knocked off Bishop O’Connell (Va.) 15-10. Nicky Solomon had eight goals and four assists in the win over Apex, and Colin Hall added six goals, three assists. Ryan Siracusa tallied seven goals and an assist against O’Connell, and Hall had four goals, four assists. Ben Shealy won 31 of 41 faceoffs for the tournament. The Knights play at No. 1 Lambert on Friday. Previous: 8

10. Weddington (N.C.), 2-0

The Warriors beat Providence (N.C.) 18-4 on March 5 and were idle the rest of the week. Austin Leonard led with five goals and one assist. Anthony Todaro had three goals and two assists, and Will Shipley had two goals and three assists. Whitner Litton won 17 of 22 faceoffs. Previous: 9

WARRIOR/US LACROSSE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Christian Tomei, Oxbridge (Fla.)

The junior goalie was superb in a 5-2 win over previously-unbeaten Jupiter (Fla.). Tomei had a season-high 17 saves in the defensive battle. He also collected 14 saves in a loss to nationally-ranked Boys’ Latin (Md.) to bring his season total to 64 saves.
