US Lacrosse Magazine’s expert team of pop culture connoisseurs has come up with some of the best lacrosse content you can consume while practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 outbreak.

From movies to documentaries to television shows to U.S. team content, get your lacrosse fix with everything on this list.

Movies/Documentaries

“​Crooked Arrows”​

Joe Logan (Brandon Routh) teaches his players the meaning of tribal pride as they climb an uphill battle to the state championship finals in “Crooked Arrows,” one of the most well-known lacrosse movies. Available for on YouTube.

“​The Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation”​

“​The Spirit Game: Pride of a Nation”​ is a documentary that follows The Iroquois Nationals Lacrosse Team as it competes in the 2015 World Box Lacrosse Championships. Available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.

“​The Creator’s Game”​

Daniel must defeat all odds if he wants to win back his team’s respect and get the coaching position he’s dreamed of in “​The Creator’s Game.” Available on DirectTV.com.

“​A Warrior’s Heart”​

Star lacrosse player Conor Sullivan (Kellan Lutz) must overcome his self-destructive tendencies resulting from the death of his Marine father to regain his spot on the lacrosse team in “​A Warrior's Heart.” Available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.

“​Mean Girls”​

Remember that one scene in which Regina George bulldozes her way down the field? Her therapist said she should take out her aggression while playing sports. We don’t condone that style of play, but this gives you an excuse to watch “Mean Girls”​ for the thousandth time. Available to watch on Hulu​​.

“​Toe to Toe”​

A raw story about lacrosse teammates from opposite lifestyles who learn to bond through lacrosse. Available to rent on Amazon Prime Video.

“​Keepers of the Game”​

A documentary in which teenage angst meets rigid cultural heritage that is a must-watch. Available for rent on iTunes.

There are also two documentaries on The Lacrosse Network (TLN) worth watching: Kandote, a documentary of Uganda lacrosse, and The Lost Trophy, a documentary about Syracuse’s vacated 1990 NCAA title. Both require subscriptions to watch.

TV Shows

“​Teen Wolf”​

For those inclined to watch teen drama, lacrosse is the main sport in “​Teen Wolf.” The Beacon Hills High School Cyclones have won the state championship three years in a row. Available to watch on MTV.com.

“​Marvel’s Runaways”​

For the Marvel Comics fan, “​Marvel’s Runaways”​ focuses on a group of teens on the run after they discover their parents are up to some not-so-good stuff. One of the main characters, Chase Stein, is a star lacrosse player. Available to watch on Hulu​​.

Lacrosse has also made cameo appearances in shows like Modern Family, Seinfeld and other sitcoms. Doing a simple Google search can help you locate those specific scenes and/or episodes.

The National Lacrosse League has released 131 classic games so you can relive the league’s greatest moments.

U.S. National Team Content

Head to the US Lacrosse YouTube channel for some behind-the-scenes content with national teams and more. A few of our favorites:
