Kali Harsthorn, Maryland's standout attacker and a 2019 IWLCA second-team All-American, announced Thursday afternoon that she won't return to the Terps in 2021, foregoing the extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA.

Last season for the NCAA champion Terps, Harsthorn compiled 48 goals and 137 draw controls. Through Maryland's six games this season, she had 10 goals, 10 assists and 33 draw controls.
"After a long month of deciding what I wanted to do, I have decided not to return to Maryland for a fifth year," she wrote. "This decision was much harder than I ever could have imagined."
