This weekend, Joe Robertson became the 21st player in Duke lacrosse history to reach 100 goals — and he made it abundantly clear that he hasn’t missed a step, even after missing 2020 with an ACL injury.

The senior attackman scored a career-high seven goals with three assists in Duke’s easy 17-7 win over Air Force on Saturday. His seven scores were two shy of the Duke single-game record, and his 10 points were only one off of the program record of 11. Robertson’s 10 points were the most by a Duke player since Justin Guterding had 10 (three goals, seven assists) against Air Force in 2018.

For his efforts, Robertson is the US Lacrosse Division I Men’s Player of the Week.

Robertson’s presence against Air Force was sorely missed during the COVID-shortened 2020 season, as Air Force clipped the Blue Devils in what had become a typical early season stumble. But Duke’s super team went 5-0 this February, showcasing its immense offensive depth.
