As many teams enter their conference slates, there wasn’t much movement in this week’s Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women’s Top 20.
The top 13 teams each earned at least one win in the past week. However, Boston College, the former No. 14 seed, saw the most movement, but down four spots after being upset by ACC rival Duke.
Moving up in the rankings is James Madison, which now leads the CAA with a 3-0 record, jumping two spots to No. 17. Princeton recorded a blowout loss over Ivy foe Harvard to move to No. 7, and Northwestern earned a much-needed victory over Big Ten opponent Ohio State to get one win over .500.
Virginia, however, is on a three-game losing streak, as is Elon, the latter dropping out of this week’s rankings.

James Madison (+2)
After falling to Virginia and Maryland in back-to-back games, James Madison is on a three-game winning streak to bump up two spots in the rankings, assuming Elon’s former seed at No. 17. The Dukes now take the lead in the CAA.

Boston College (-4)
The Eagles lost to unranked Duke 15-12 after giving up a two-goal lead at halftime. They allowed Duke to outscore them 9-4 in the second half and outdraw them 19-10. Blue Devils goalie Gabbe Cadoux recorded six saves in the second period, while Boston College had zero.

Virginia Tech
It was a battle between Duke and Virginia Tech for which team would take that No. 20 slot after each had solid performances this past week. While Duke upset Boston College 15-12 to boost its resume for the NCAA tournament and Virginia Tech lost to Syracuse by one in overtime, the Hokies have the head-to-head win over Duke. Virginia Tech also defeated Boston College by a larger margin, 18-12.

Elon
The Phoenix are on a three-game losing streak, falling to Duke 10-9, James Madison 14-5 and Towson 19-7. The convincing wins for its CAA rivals dropped Elon out of this week’s Top 20.
