Jules Heningburg might not have played in the PLL Championship Series this summer, but the Redwoods LC attackman still made an impact in the lacrosse world.

In the wake of a renewed discussion surrounding racial injustice in this country, Heningburg banded together with other Black players in the PLL to form the Black Lacrosse Alliance. It turns out activism is not uncommon in the Heningburg family.

Staff writer Nelson Rice profiles Heningburg and his family in the November 2020 edition of US Lacrosse Magazine, telling the story of how and why Heningburg is made for this movement.

Also in the November edition: How US Lacrosse and the Black Lacrosse Alliance teamed up for a revamped Anti-Harassment and Discrimination policy, by Matt DaSilva; Meet the men behind Blaxers Blog, by Matt Hamilton; Life After Lax with current full-time NFL scout Hannah Burnett, by Matt DaSilva; A raw conversation with Lyle Thompson, by Matt Hamilton; Second Chance at a Last Dance, a package of stories surrounding college seniors getting another shot at redemption.
