High School Girls’ Lacrosse Games to Watch This Week

The National Game of the Week might have been Wednesday, as No. 12-ranked Sacred Heart Greenwich (Conn.) opened its 2025 season with an impressive 11-7 neutral-site victory over No. 21-ranked IMG Academy (Fla.)

Mid-Atlantic Game of the Week

No. 11 Agnes Irwin (Pa.) (3-0) at No. 8 Good Counsel (Md.) (1-1)
Friday, 4 p.m. EDT | Mid-Atlantic Top 10

This will be the first true test of the season for Agnes Irwin (Pa.), while Good Counsel (Md.) already has a pair of one-goal contests under its belt. The Falcons edged Notre Dame Prep (Md.) 9-8 in their opener but lost a close game Tuesday at Maryvale (Md.) 11-10. 

South Game of the Week

No. 24 Stone Ridge (Md.) (3-3) at No. 13 American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) (9-1)
Tuesday, 7 p.m. EDT | South Top 10

This Stone Ridge (Md.) schedule is something else. The Gators have played twice this week already — picking up victories over St. John's (D.C.) and Glenelg Country (Md.) — and will play three more games before venturing south for a pair of spring-break contests. It's part of a grueling stretch of nine games in 13 days. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.) bounced back from an 8-6 loss to St. Paul's (Md.) on Monday to defeat Georgetown Visitation (D.C.) 11-6 on Wednesday.

Midwest Game of the Week

Guerin Catholic (Ind.) (6-0) at Upper Arlington (Ohio) (0-0)
Friday, 7 p.m. EDT | Midwest Top 10

Ranked sixth in the Midwest, Upper Arlington (Ohio) opens the 2025 season at home against unbeaten Guerin Catholic (Ind.). The Golden Bears came one goal shy of a state title last season, falling 6-5 to Olentangy Liberty in the championship game. Winners of six state titles since 2015, Upper Arlington is always a major threat in the Buckeye State.

West Game of the Week

St. Ignatius (Calif.) (4-0) at Valor Christian (Colo.) (3-0)
Thursday, 8 p.m. EDT | West Top 10

It's No. 3 at No. 2, according to our West Region rankings, in another California-Colorado girls' lacrosse clash. The host Eagles are led by first-year head coach Sam Geiersbach, a name you might recognize for her 2022 NCAA championship MVP performance at North Carolina or her more recent exploits as a pro.
