NORTHEAST
Quinn Ball, Chaminade (N.Y.)
Someone was simply balling this week.
The Chaminade (N.Y.) faceoff specialist was instrumental in the Flyers’ 2-0 week. It started by winning 17 of 23 faceoffs, collecting 13 ground balls and scoring a goal in a 12-8 victory over Don Bosco (N.J.).
The Penn-bound senior followed by winning 20 of 24 faceoffs with 14 ground balls, one goal and one assist in a 16-7 win at Salesianum (Del.).
“Quinn gives 100 percent effort, 100 percent of the time,” longtime Chaminade head coach Jack Moran said. “He’s the spark that gets us going.”

The sophomore goalie came up huge for the Big Red in a pair of tight wins. Stake made nine saves, including one in the final seconds, in a 9-8 win over Malvern Prep (Pa.). He held Malvern at bay after it built an 8-4 lead in the third quarter.
Stake then saved 10 shots in a 9-8 win over Deerfield Academy (Mass.). The win was the seventh straight for Lawrenceville.

SOUTH
Jayden Vega, Benjamin (Fla.)
In one of the most exciting games in the region this year, Vega’s three-goal, three-assist effort helped Benjamin push past St. Thomas Aquinas, 11-10. Days later, he notched a hat trick against Jupiter (Fla.).
Vega now has 62 goals this year. He is committed to Brown.

MIDWEST
Luke Sprong, St. Xavier (Ohio)
It takes deft stickwork and excellent shot placement to put the ball past a Culver Academy (Ind.) keeper. That's a testament to the excellent goalies the Eagles have had. And it's a testament to Sprong, who tallied a hat trick in St. Xavier's stunning overtime victory over Culver.
Not that this is new from the Le Moyne commit, as Sprong exploded for four goals against Archbishop Moeller (Ohio) earlier in the season and has formed a devastating duo with Khalif Hocker.
