Grand Valley State recorded the best win of the early season with a dominating 16-5 win at Tampa on Sunday, jumping four spots to No. 11 in this week’s Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Women’s Top 20.

At the top of the poll, defending champion Lindenwood is off to a strong 3-0 start and maintains its hold on No. 1, while No. 2 UIndy impressively won its opening two games by a combined 40-5. Helping to fuel UIndy’s rout of Frostburg on Sunday was All-American Peyton Romig, who won 12 draws and became the first player in NCAA Division II history to record 700 career draw controls.

Seven more ranked teams take to the field for their first games this week, including No. 5 West Chester and No. 7 Roberts Wesleyan. The best matchup of the week features No. 9 Florida Southern hosting No. 4 Queens in a South Region showdown.
