This winter, Greg Gurenlian announced his retirement from the sport, thus ending one of the most illustrious careers in the history of lacrosse.

A Philly kid from the beginning, Gurenlian had his eyes set on playing lacrosse at Penn State. He joined the Nittany Lions program in 2003 and quickly became one of the most feared faceoff men in the nation.

After his collegiate career, Gurenlian became a star in Major League Lacrosse. He played his first few years with multiple teams before finding his place with the New York Lizards, where he won Most Valuable Player in 2015.
