McDonogh (Md.) retains its usual spot atop the Nike/US Lacrosse High School Girls National Top 25, but Bishop Ireton has put some pressure on the top team this season. Sophomore Reilly Casey has 23 points through the first four games for No. 3 Bishop Ireton, including a 12-assist, five-goal game against Milton (Ga.). The Northeast is yet to compete in 2018, but will be in action soon. Update: A previous version of this article stated that Bishop Ireton had beaten Notre Dame Prep (Md.), but NDP won on Monday night. These rankings were compiled prior to Monday's games. The defending Washington Catholic Athletic Conference and VISAA champions opened the year with a 19-11 win over Collegiate (Va.). 1. Hutchison (Tenn.), 4-0

The Sting were idle last week for spring break. They play Wednesday against Briarcrest (Tenn.) before a trip to Texas with games against No. 6 Episcopal School of Dallas and Hockaday on Friday and Saturday. Previous: 1  

2. American Heritage-Delray (Fla.), 9-0

The Stallions had a great week, knocking off a trio of in-state teams. They beat Spanish River 21-4, St. Andrew’s 19-3 and then toppled No. 3 St. Thomas Aquinas 15-7. Allegra Catalano led the way against St. Thomas with five goals and Caitlyn Wurzburger had two goals and seven assists, as American Heritage avenged a 10-9 overtime loss to the Raiders in a regional final game last spring. It was the Stallions’ only loss last season. They are off until Saturday when they play a doubleheader against No. 4 Milton (Ga.) and St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Va.). Previous: 2  

3. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 9-1

The Raiders suffered their first loss on Saturday, a 15-7 loss to No. 2 American Heritage-Delray. Carly Steinlauf led with six goals. Kaitlyn Michaud had a goal and seven draw controls. The Raiders opened the week with an 18-7 win over Stoneman Douglas (Fla.) and then beat American Heritage-Plantation (Fla.) 20-3. Jada Preston led with six goals and three assists against Stoneman Douglas. In the win over AHP, Eliza Cumella, Preston and Steinlauf each had three goals. Previous: 3 

4. Milton (Ga), 5-2

The Eagles opened the week with their first loss, a 19-12 setback to Roland Park Country (Md.), but followed that up with an impressive 16-8 win at No. 5 Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.). They finished with a 22-10 loss to Bishop Ireton, which was ranked No. 3 in the country. Lexie Morton and Brianna Carrasquillo both had eight goals and five assists in the three games. The Eagles have another tough schedule this week with games against St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Va.), Hinsdale (Ill.) and No. 2 American Heritage-Delray.  Previous: 4  

5. Cardinal Gibbons (N.C.), 5-1

The Crusaders stayed unbeaten with a 17- 0 win over Millbrook (N.C.), but picked up their first loss in a 16-8 setback to No. 4 Milton. Eleven players scored in the win over Millbrook, led by Ella Reaves Vaughn with three goals. She had four against Milton. Grace New scored twice. Previous: 5 

6. Episcopal School of Dallas (Texas), 3-0

7. Lassiter (Ga.), 9-2

The Trojans opened the week with a 19-2 win over Etowah (Ga.) before losing to Roland Park Country 15-6. They rebounded with an 18-3 win over Winter Park (Fla.). Lassiter has another out-of-state game this week against Hinsdale Central, one of the top teams from Illinois. Previous: 7 

8. Bishop Moore (Fla.), 9-1

The Hornets picked up another big in-state win, beating Dr. Phillips 12-3 in their only game of the week. Kate Piscopo had four goals and two assists. Emma Poling had three goals and two draw controls. Bishop Moore was scheduled to play Lake Mary (Fla.) on Monday. Previous: 8  

9. Vero Beach (Fla.), 8-3

The Fighting Indians ran the gauntlet this week with five games against top competition and came out with a 2-3 mark. They opened with a 10-7 win over Pine Crest (Fla.) and then beat Canadian power Hill Academy 9-5 before losing to national No. 1 McDonogh (Md.) 15-3, West Region No. 1 Novato (Calif.) 11-10 and St. Paul’s School for Girls (Md.) 11-7. Goalie Lexi Patton had 55 saves in the five games, with 16 against Novato. The challenging schedule continues this week when the Indians play Lake Highland Prep (Fla.), Charlotte Country Day (N.C.) and Glenelg Country (Md.). Previous: 9 

10. Cambridge (Ga.), 9-2

The Bears opened the week with a tough, 18-4 loss to Roland Park Country (Md.), but rebounded with a 20-3 win over Lambert (Ga.). Bailey Hawkins led with six goals, an assist and eight draw controls in the two games. Last year, Cambridge beat Lambert 9-8 in the state semifinals. Previous: 10

The Ramblers are off to a perfect start after winning a trio of contests in dominating fashion last week. Loyola topped Fenwick (Ill.) 18-1, St. Ignatius (Ill.) 15-1 and Mother McAuley (Ill.) 16-1. 1. Novato (Calif.), 6-1

The Hornets tested themselves with a challenging trip to Florida, where they went 3-1 with a lone loss to national No. 1 McDonogh (Md.). They opened the trip with an 11-10 decision over traditional Florida power Vero Beach on Thursday, then beat Cardinal Newman (Fla.) 22-6 on Friday. After dropping a 14-6 decision to McDonogh, Novato rebounded to beat St. Paul’s School for Girls (Md.) 17-10. Jamie Level racked up nine goals and two assists against St. Paul’s, while Katie McGrath made eight saves. McGrath also had nine saves against McDonogh and six saves against Vero Beach, including some big ones at the end to preserve the win. Previous: 1  

2. Colorado Academy (Colo.), 2-0

The Mustangs beat Chatfield (Colo.) 15-4 on March 15 on the road. Sloane Murphy led the way with six goals and two assists, while Lauren Russell and Katharine Merrifield each tallied four goals. Colorado Academy travels to play St. Ignatius Prep (Calif.) on Tuesday. Previous: 3  

3. La Costa Canyon (Calif.), 5-0

The Mavericks passed another test to prove they belong, beating previously ranked Mater Dei (Calif.) 8-6 on March 15. Mater Dei dropped out last week and has now lost three of its last four games, but LCC also owns a notable win over ranked Torrey Pines, which moved the Mavs in last week. Up next is a match against Poway on Tuesday. Previous: 4  

4. Cherry Creek (Colo.), 3-0

In their only game last week, the Bruins cruised to an 18-3 win over Palmer Ridge (Colo.), as Pearl Schwartz racked up six goals and one assist and Hal Sabilia added two goals and four assists. After a seven-day break, they resume play Wednesday against Columbine (Colo.). Previous: 5  

5. Torrey Pines (Calif.), 3-1

The Falcons have rebounded from their loss to La Costa Canyon, collecting an 11-7 win over Mater Dei (Calif.) and 12-9 decision against San Marcos (Calif.) last week. In the win over Mater Dei, Kelli McKinnon had three goals, while Tatum Lanain and Courtney Wayland added two goals each. They now travel to play Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) on Thursday. Previous: 6 

6. Lake Oswego (Ore.), 2-0

The Lakers opened with a 19-8 win over Oregon Episcopal (Ore.) and then held off Jesuit (Oregon) 16-12 on Saturday. Senior captain Carlie Leach racked up 11 goals and three assists over the two games, while sophomore Katie Freeman had six goals and six assists. Previous: 7 

7. Arapahoe (Colo.), 1-0

The Warriors have been idle since opening with a 15-3 win over Kent Denver (Colo.) on March 9. They won’t return to the field until March 27 with the start of a pair of spring break games in California against Poway and La Costa Canyon. Previous: 8  

8. Eastside Catholic (Wash.), 2-0

The Crusaders opened with a16-11 win over Roosevelt (Wash.), as Alexa Steffens registered six goals, Maddie McMaster had five goals and Ashlyn Prukop won nine draw controls to go along with one goal and three assists. Eastside then added a 21-8 win over Lake Sammamish (Wash.) on Saturday. Prukop led with six goals, two assists and nine draw controls in that game, and McMaster added six goals and one assist. 9. La Jolla (Calif.), 5-0

The Vikings added two more wins this week, beating Carlsbad (Calif.) 18-1 and Scripps Ranch (Calif.) 16-9. Kayla Nitahara had eight goals in the Scripps Ranch game and two goals against Carlsbad. La Jolla has a busy week ahead with four games in seven days, starting with a matchup against Cathedral Catholic (Calif.) on Tuesday. Previous: 10
