What did you want to be when you grew up?

Kristen Carr: Professional soccer player. I played semi-pro soccer and currently play professional lacrosse for the WPLL. Dreams do come true! We have a lot of people in our corner working diligently to change the trajectory of women’s lacrosse.

What are your hobbies?

Caylee Waters: I go through phases — tennis, baking, jigsaw puzzles, spike ball. I’m currently into The New York Times crosswords.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done?

CW: Bungee jumped 440 feet (139 meters) in New Zealand.

KC: It’s tied. I hiked into the volcanic crater of Mount Tarawera in Rotorua, New Zealand, and skydived in the Swiss Alps.

What are your pregame rituals?

CW: In high school and college, I would eat French toast. I dance and sing. It helps me feel loose. I do some visualization, put my socks on my right foot first (then left), cleats on (right then left) and tie my cleats (right then left). In the cage, before the first draw, I jump up and down five times.

Where did you go on your last vacation?

KC: Lake Tahoe, Calif. Best way to see the lake during the summer: Go ziplining on a 3,300-foot long zipline at 50 mph and 10,000 feet of elevation.

If you were the Eighth Dwarf, what would your name be?

CW: Dawdler. I credit Jenny Levy for introducing that word to me. I don’t have a great sense of time, and I tend to move slowly.

What’s one thing lacrosse really needs?

KC: Olympic rings! Our sport is in a pivotal stage with the ultimate goal of attaining Olympic inclusion for the 2028 Games.

What is the one college you want to see add lacrosse next?

CW: Clemson.

KC: UCLA or Clemson.

Pose questions for each other.

CW: Any pet peeves?

KC: Dirty dishes in the sink.

KC: What’s your biggest irrational fear?

CW: A tree falling on me in a thunderstorm.

CW: If you could have any athlete be your teammate on the lacrosse field, who would it be?

KC: Michelle Akers. She always had such a great presence about her.

KC: What’s your favorite part about being on the national team?

CW: Teammates. They bring out a ton of energy in me. They are competitive and each inspiring in their own way.
