Winnie the Pooh and ice cream soup for UConn’s forever child at heart, who is also a USA Lacrosse Magazine first team All-American and one of the top players in Huskies history.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A meteorologist. I changed my mind after deciding I did not want to be stuck at work during a tornado.

If you owned a boat, what would you name it?

Winnie, after my all-time favorite character Winnie the Pooh. (I have a sticker of him on my all of my sticks.)

What is your favorite hobby?

I love photography.

Proudest moment on the lacrosse field?

Coming from a small area in southern Maryland and playing at a school like UConn, in our first game of my freshman year, I had four goals and had eight draw controls against a ranked team (Syracuse).

Who’s your favorite athlete?

Simone Biles. She is always giving the crowd a show. She is able to practice until she creates a move no one has ever seen, always giving her an edge.

What childish things do you still do as an adult?

Whenever I eat ice cream, it has to have chocolate syrup. I still mix it up and turn it into ice cream soup.

OVERTIME (from Brent Adams)

What’s your favorite place on Earth?

Disney World. I swear I will never get too old for it.

DOUBLE OVERTIME (from @robertshaw6 on Instagram)

What is something you’d tell your younger self about playing in college?

It is OK to fail and have bad days. Not every day, practice or game will be perfect. But every opportunity is a chance to get closer to where you want to be.
