Catching up with the Chrome, Wings and U.S. indoor team’s ‘giraffe on roller skates.’

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? 

A running back for the New York Jets. Based on this season, I might still have a shot.

Where did you go on your last vacation? 

Matt Dunn and I backpacked Europe right after the indoor world games. We went to five countries — Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Netherlands and Portugal — in about a month.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve ever done? 

On the Euro trip, I hiked a volcano on an island about three hours off the coast of Portugal.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? 

I am very musically challenged, but I think it would be awesome to play the guitar.

If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? 

My grandma’s chicken parmesan.

If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?  

Having a beer with Luke Combs would be pretty awesome. 

What animal best describes your style of play? 

Someone tweeted during the PLL Championship Series that I run like a giraffe on roller skates, so I’m going to have to go with giraffe.

What is your favorite inspirational quote? 

“Well done is better than well said.” — Ben Franklin 

What’s one thing lacrosse really needs? 

This game needs to be more accessible to everyone.

What’s the last book you read? 

“The Obstacle is The Way,” by Ryan Holiday.

Who is your biggest role model in sports? 

Larry Fitzgerald. He has been an elite player for well over a decade, is widely respected amongst his peers and is a Walter Payton Man of the Year award winner for his service off the field.

What’s your favorite stickwork drill?

100 catch and throw left. 100 catch and throw right. 50 catch left, throw right. 50 catch right, throw left. 50 freestyle. Finish with quick sticks with each hand as many reps until you drop
