Golfing, smelling salts and a good nap with Delaware’s tuna-like defenseman, Owen Grant.

When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A firefighter. I honestly still might do it on the side.

What is your favorite hobby (other than lacrosse)?

Golfing. I only picked it up a couple years ago, but I just love it. During COVID, I started working at a golf course.

What animal best describes your style of play?

A tuna. That’s a nickname my teammates have given me here. I think it’s because I’m a big guy.

Who’s your favorite athlete?

Steven Stamkos. Hockey was my main sport growing up until I found lacrosse.

What are your pregame rituals?

Smelling salts. It started with the Toronto Beaches, my Junior A team back home. It gets you ready to run through a wall.

What childish things do you still do as an adult?

Take naps. I can end up sleeping for like three hours sometimes.

What’s the last book you read?

“Relentless,” by Tim Grover.

OVERTIME (from Will Manny):

If you could change one rule in lacrosse, what it would be?

You should be able to have six poles on the field like the old-school days.

DOUBLE OVERTIME (from @alyciadellerose):

Who is your biggest role model?

My dad.

Post a question for our next subject.

Pregame coin toss. What are you picking? Heads or tails?
