When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I wanted to be an art teacher. But I have no idea why. I’m terrible at art.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

My family. My sister, my mom and dad and my dog, Gus.

What animal best describes your style of play?

Maybe a rattlesnake. It just sits there and strikes. I’m very still until there’s a shot.

What are your pregame rituals?

I have three songs I listen to that are really chill. I’ll have a journal to write some thoughts about the game. I put my uniform on in a certain order. I have to eat six green Gatorade chews.

What’s the most adventurous thing you’ve done?

Me and my friends went camping on the beach in the middle of a pretty intense hurricane.

What is the best gift anyone has ever given to you?

My great-grandmother gave me a little stuffed animal, and it was one of the last presents she gave me.

What childish things do you still do as an adult?

I’m a huge sweets person. I get excited when I can have dessert for breakfast.

What movie scene always gives you goosebumps?

In “Up” when he finally gets the house to sit next to the waterfall.

OVERTIME (from Delaware defenseman Owen Grant)

Pregame coin toss. What are you picking? Heads or tails?

Gotta go tails. It’s an underdog. I’m all for the underdog.

DOUBLE OVERTIME (from @astromars26 on Instagram):

Have you faced mental difficulties as a goalie? How did you get over them?

Confidence was a huge mental battle that I had to overcome and I am still facing now. Learn how to trust yourself. Trust your knowledge in the game, all the preparation you’ve put forth and just play with a smile on your face. Playing while having fun is when you play your best lacrosse and it naturally brings some confidence to your game.
