3. St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.), 16-1
Carly Steinlauf totaled eight goals and seven assists in two games last week to help the Raiders claim the FHSAA District 29 title. After beating Plantation 19-0 in an FHSAA District 29 semifinal, St. Thomas beat American Heritage-Plantation 20-2 to win the championship. Jada Preston had five goals and two assists in the final. The Raiders, who were state runners up last spring, play a regional quarterfinal on Thursday against Cypress Bay (11-3). Previous: 3

After a 10-day layoff, the Eagles returned with a 23-7 win over West Forsyth (Ga.). Erin Degnan dominated the draws, winning 18 draws and eight draw controls. Brianna Carrasquillo had six goals, an assist, two caused turnovers and nine draw controls. Sarah Cosman had four goals. The Eagles play twice next week to wrap up the regular season. Previous: 4

The Trojans picked up a 17-7 win over Walton (Ga.) last week. Liz Harrison led Lassiter with five goals, including four in the second half. Lily Wisdom added four goals, and Sydney McClure and Alison Mills each had three. The Trojans wrap up the regular season with two games this week. Previous: 5

The Fighting Indians breezed to their 14th consecutive Florida district championship, beating South Fork 11-1 and Martin County 19-4 to claim the District 21 title. The Crusaders picked up two more in-state wins last week, beating Millbrook 15-2 and Broughton 16-3. Elizabeth Wilson had three goals and an assist against Millbrook, while Grace New added a goal and three assists. The Eagles picked up five wins during a busy week. They swept a doubleheader on the last day of the Brave Heat tournament at Sacred Heart (Ky.), beating Cor Jesu (Mo.) 11-3 and Sacred Heart Academy (Ky.) 3-1. Eastern then picked up a midweek win over Collins (Ky.), 21-2, before traveling to the Hanning-Galipault Tournament in Ohio, where they opened with a 10-9 win over Worthington Kilbourne (Ohio) 10-9. On Saturday, they suffered their only loss, 11-4 to Ohio’s defending Division I state champion Upper Arlington and finished with a 10-6 win over Sycamore (Ohio). Previous: 10

The Golden Bears survived a challenging day with a pair of wins Saturday, topping Indian Hill (Ohio) 14-5 and defeating previously unbeaten Eastern (Ky.) 11-4. Brenna Smith led Upper Arlington with three goals against Eastern, and Lauren Farber scored four times against Indian Hill. The Bears were scheduled to play Hilliard Davidson (Ohio) on Monday. After defeating Naperville North (Ill.) 17-5 on Thursday, the Ramblers managed to squeak by Michigan power Rockford 11-9 on Saturday. Riley Dolan scored five goals against Naperville North and had two goals and an assist versus Rockford. Loyola had four players score at least twice against Rockford. The Trevians defeated previous No. 3-ranked Rockford (Mich.) by a convincing 13-6 margin on Saturday. The Lakers received a scare from Wilsonville (Ore.) but held on for a 13-11 win April 18 as Rylee Sutherland (three goals, one assist) and Katy Gilbert (two goals and one assist) led the scoring. A busy week with three road games in four days brought the Mavericks their second loss of the season. Scripps Ranch (Calif.) stunned them, 12-11, on Thursday after LCC collected easy wins over Sage Creek (Calif.) and Carlsbad (Calif.). The Mavericks got one last shot off against Scripps Ranch but Falcons freshman goalie Ally Richardson Pepper made the save as time expired. Previous: 4

The Falcons outscored their three opponents 43-8 last week, most notably handing San Dieguito Academy (Calif.) its second loss, 15-3. Now they get a rematch with La Costa Canyon on Tuesday for a chance to avenge a 10-5 loss on March 7. That was their only in-state loss. Previous: 6

The Tartans have won five in a row since their loss to Novato, including three lopsided scores last week. Campbell Case racked up seven goals and four assists in an 18-7 win over Beckman (Calif.), Cailin Young had six goals and two assists to lead St. Margaret’s to a 17-2 win over Esperanza (Calif.), and Maddie Barkate, Jordan Miles and Young all had four goals in a 17-4 win over San Juan Hills (Calif.).
