Paul Gait, a member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, was involved in an accident on Thursday, Nov. 3, that required surgery.

Gait Lacrosse issued a statement Friday:

Thursday, November 3rd, Paul Gait was involved in an accident that required surgery. He is currently in recovery and resting surrouned by his family and friends.

We thank you for your concern and your outpouring of well wishes.

Paul will need some time, but will be back in the game soon!

Paul Gait, 55, is the President of Gait Lacrosse, which re-opened its doors in the fall of 2019 after a four-year hiatus. He was elected to the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2005, the NLL Hall of Fame in 2006 and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2014.
