Fred Opie is an author and former Syracuse University and U.S. National Lacrosse team player growing integrity, effort, and care on and off the field.

Host Fred Opie speaks with Brighton (N.Y.) High School star Danielle Spencer. She played collegiate lacrosse at Northwestern University where she earned All-American honors and won three national championships in 2007, 2008, in 2009. She is the head women’s lacrosse coach at Dartmouth College. She unpacks the strategy that her staff uses to find talented players, why she thinks camps and clinics are a better return on investment or parents than club teams and tournaments and talks about the transition from player, to assist coach, to head coach, her definition of a great player, and a great coach, and some of the coaches she admires both in and outside of lacrosse.
