The Tewaaraton Foundation announced Thursday the 25 men’s and 25 women’s nominees for the Tewaaraton Award, presented annually to the most outstanding players in college lacrosse.

The men’s nominees:

Baptiste, Fields, Reeves and Spencer were among the five Tewaaraton finalists last year. Reeves is a two-time finalist. Baptiste was the first faceoff specialist to make the final group.

Reigning NCAA champion Maryland is among five teams with two nominees each among the 25, with Bernhardt and Kelly making the list. Denver (Baptiste and Walker), Albany (Fields and Ierlan), Loyola (Huggins and Spencer) and Virginia (Aitken and Kraus) are the others.

This year’s finalists will be announced May 10 and invited to the 18th-annual Tewaaraton Award Ceremony on Thursday, May 31 in Washington, D.C.
