Top-ranked Florida Southern strengthened its hold on the No. 1 position in the Nike/US Lacrosse Division II Women's Top 20 with a solid 15-11 road win over No. 5 Florida Tech Saturday in the Sunshine State Conference opener for both teams. Three goals each by Shannon Gilfedder and Emily Santoli in the opening half helped FSC to an 11-6 halftime lead. The Mocs registered their fourth top-10 victory of the season while improving to 10-0 overall.
There were no changes among the top five in this week’s poll. Lindenwood, now 11-0, remains No. 2, followed by Adelphi, Le Moyne and Florida Tech. Defending NCAA champion Adelphi, which has posted seven straight wins since its season-opening loss at FSC, flexed its muscles with a 19-4 win over then-No. 10 New Haven. Also, Rollins upset No. 6 Limestone to catapult into the top 10.
One of the key games to watch this week is in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference, as No. 14 East Stroudsburg, the defending league champion, visits No. 6 West Chester. They are two of the four teams still undefeated in league play.

Rollins (+6)
The Tars were the biggest movers this week, joining the top 10 for the first time this year following a 9-7 win at then-No. 6 Limestone and a convincing 15-6 win at Lenoir-Rhyne during a two-game northern swing. Rollins has won nine straight games since losing to Adelphi four weeks ago and improved to 10-2 overall.

Currently in the midst of a six-game stretch of road contests, the Bears recorded two wins in Florida last week, including a 12-6 victory over No. 17 St. Leo. Shannon Donovan and Alyssa Milano had four goals apiece in the win.

Limestone (-5)
The Saints had climbed to No. 6 in the poll on the strength of a recent five-game winning streak, but that got snapped by a 9-7 loss against visiting Rollins. Trailing by five in the second half, Limestone pulled to within one goal with two minutes remaining, but Rollins scored the clincher in the final minute.

Lock Haven
The Eagles, now 6-1 overall, have won three straight games, including their first two PSAC tests against Slippery Rock and Gannon. Katie Costanza netted four goals against Gannon while Hayley Kilian had sevens assist in the 15-8 victory.
Bentley
The Falcons are off to a 3-0 start in the NE10 following Saturday’s 10-8 win over Stonehill. Freshman Julia Glavin scored a team-high five goals in that win. Bentley has a chance to extend its current four-game winning streak against four unranked opponents before an April 11 showdown with No. 3 Adelphi.
OUT
New Haven (previously No. 10)
It wasn’t a good week for the Chargers, who were dismantled 19-4 by Adelphi and then lost 13-8 at Merrimack. Having lost three of their last four, the road doesn’t get any easier with a visit to No. 4 Le Moyne on Wednesday.
Millersville (previously No. 20)
Conference play was not kind to the Marauders, who had their five-game winning streak snapped with PSAC losses against No. 14 East Stroudsburg and unranked Bloomsburg last week.
