One of the most anticipated moments of the college lacrosse season happened today as ESPN announced its list of televised games for the 2019 season.
ESPN will offer more than 400 games across its streaming platforms, highlighted by 29 regular season games to be televised on either ESPNU or ESPNEWS.
The broadcast schedule includes 24 men’s games and five women’s games, beginning with a top 10 matchup in men’s lacrosse on Feb. 16 with Loyola taking the short trip down Charles Street to Play at Johns Hopkins. That game will be streamed live on ESPN3 and then will air the following morning on ESPNU.
The women’s schedule begins on March 21 with Maryland travelling to Penn State for a Thursday evening game.
In addition to the regular season, ESPN networks will offer complete coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship, beginning with the airing of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Selection Special on Sunday, May 5 at 9 p.m., on ESPNU.
ESPN will also provide coverage of the NCAA Division I Women’s Lacrosse Championship, with championship weekend taking place in Baltimore, Md., from May 24-26.
Anish Shroff will the lead play-by-play announcer for the second straight season and Jay Alter, John Brickley, Mike Corey and Chris Cotter will also handle play-by-play duties throughout the season. The lists of analysts includes Quint Kessenich, Paul Carcaterra, Sheehan Stanwick-Burch, Ryan Boyle, Ryan Flanagan, Myles Jones, Matt Ward, Jon “Stugotz” Weiner and Don Zimmerman.
