The Epoch/US Lacrosse Players of the Week are named each Tuesday to recognize the most outstanding individual performances in high school boys’  and girls’ lacrosse in each of the five regions — Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, South, Midwest and West — outlined in our high school coverage. Make it Epoch

Northeast

John Mozrall, Pittsford (N.Y.)

Mozrall tallied five goals and five assists as Pittsford earned wins over Penfield (N.Y.) and Corning (N.Y.) last week. The junior attackman/midfielder had three goals on four shots and added four assists in an 11-6 win over Corning (N.Y.).

Mid-Atlantic

Brett Baskin, LaSalle (Pa.)

The senior attackman kept the Explorers rolling last week, registering eight goals and three assists in a pair of victories. Baskin posted five goals and two assists in last Tuesday’s 12-5 win over previously unbeaten Conestoga (Pa.). The Johns Hopkins recruit added three goals and an assist two days later in a 13-3 rout of Radnor (Pa.).

Kevin Crowley, St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.)

The senior attackman scored seven goals in the Raiders’ only game of the week, a 17-1 win over Stoneman Douglas (Fla.) in a first-round state play-in game. For the season, Crowley has 56 goals and 30 assists.

Midwest

Brennan Kamish, Detroit Catholic Central (Mich.)

The senior midfielder had 10 goals last week in two games, including a four-goal, two-assist performance versus University of Detroit Jesuit. He followed that up with six goals against Detroit Country Day. Kamish is headed to Detroit Mercy in the fall.

J.T. Simonton, Cherry Creek (Colo.)

The senior gave the Bruins a huge possession advantage, as they blew out Torrey Pines (Calif.) 15-4 last week. Simonton won 22 of 26 faceoffs against the Falcons, who were ranked No. 2 in the West at the time. He is headed to Bellarmine University next year.
