Take one look at Emma Ward on the field, and you would never guess that she’s a freshman.
With big performance after big performance, Ward is establishing herself as a rising star in women’s lacrosse. In the NCAA quarterfinals on Saturday, she put together her best performance to date.
Ward scored a career-high six goals with one assist in Syracuse’s 17-11 takedown of Florida, cementing the Orange’s place in the Final Four. For her efforts, Ward is the USA Lacrosse Magazine Division I Women’s Player of the Week.
Ward has 38 goals and 26 assists in her first 19 career games.
