Syracuse announced Friday afternoon that Emma Tyrrell, a midfielder with a team-high 20 assists, will miss the remainder of the spring season with a lower body injury she suffered in practice this week.

Tyrrell also has 30 goals and 24 draw controls this season for the fourth-ranked Orange, who play No. 1 North Carolina on Saturday in a pivotal ACC matchup.

The junior burst onto the scene in 2021, earning eight starts in 21 total games played. She scored 42 goals with 16 assists and controlled 43 draws. Starring alongside her older sister, Meaghan, Emma Tyrrell quickly became a force on both ends for the Orange.

Tyrrell is a member of the Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
