With four goals and seven draw controls in Duke’s 17-10 upset of then-No. 13 Syracuse, Blue Devils junior Olivia Jenner earns Brine/US Lacrosse Player of the Week honors.

The win marked their first against a ranked opponent since they edged Northwestern by one Feb. 18 and jumped Duke back into the Nike/US Lacrosse Division I Women's Top 20 at No. 16.

Jenner’s first goal came at the 20:05 mark in the first half, securing a Duke lead that never disappeared for the remainder of the game. It also sparked the first of three three-goal runs, with Jenner scoring one goal in each.

After winning the draw midway through the first half, she recorded her second tally just three minutes later to put the Blue Devils up three.

She opened the second half with back-to-back draw controls and then scored a free position goal to hand Duke a five-goal advantage at the 17:24 mark. Her last score came within a final three-goal spurt in the last four minutes to take the Blue Devils up by six.

Jenner tied Kyra Harney for a team-high four goals and controlled 35 percent of Duke’s 20 draw controls, compared to just nine total for Syracuse.
