The NCAA released its second women’s lacrosse regional rankings for Division II on Wednesday, with no changes among the top four teams. West Chester, Le Moyne, Regis, and Florida Southern continue to hold the top spots in the four regions, as they did in last week’s first ranking.
The new regional ranking reflects game results through April 21 and includes the top six teams in each region.
In the Atlantic Region, the top three teams remain unchanged, with number one West Chester followed by East Stroudsburg and Bloomsburg. Mercyhurst jumped two spots this week and now holds the fourth position.
Defending national champion Le Moyne, which improved to 16-0 with Wednesday’s 8-7 win over NE10 rival Adelphi, is the No. 1 team in the East Region, followed by Adelphi at number two. LIU Post jumped two spots to number three, with Assumption dropping one spot to fourth.
There were no changes in the Midwest Region, with undefeated Regis, ranked second nationally in the latest Nike/US Lacrosse Top 20 Poll, still at No. 1, followed by Lindenwood, UIndy, and Colorado Mesa.
In the South Region, Florida Southern remains in the first position. The Mocs are 15-2 overall and the top seed in this week’s SSC Tournament. Rollins, Tampa, and Queens round out the top four.
