Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:
1. Never forget.
On the 18th anniversary of 9/11, we remember those connected to the lacrosse community who perished in the terrorist attacks.
2. The Peterborough Lakers took a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven Mann Cup series to determine Canada’s national Senior A box lacrosse champion, defeating the host Victoria Shamrocks 8-6 on Tuesday. The Lakers can wrap up their third straight title tonight.
3. Maryland women’s lacrosse coach Cathy Reese, both fiercely competitive and lovingly loyal, will be enshrined in the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame on Oct. 19 — an honor she will share with eight other lacrosse greats in the Class of 2019.
4. U.S. U19 men’s team coach Nick Myers is back for another tour with Team USA. He shared these seven principles on day one.
