Good morning and Happy Halloween! Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. The Women's Professional Lacrosse League announced the results from its draft on Tuesday night, and 2017 U.S. World Cup champions Becca Block, Kayla Treanor and Michelle Tumolo were among the big names selected. All three played in the United Women's Lacrosse League last season.

2. Tumolo was one of four high-profile women's lacrosse players featured in a round-table type interview discussing the state of the women's game and the future that appears in the print edition of our November issue.

3. Depending on the status of your phone's operating system, yesterday was either the arrival of the long-awaited lacrosse emoji or a lot of question marks on your timeline.

4. Deemer Class made a name for himself as a player at Duke, and he'll be playing in the Premier Lacrosse League last year, but coaching is in his DNA. He's joined the staff of the women's lacrosse program at USC and is hoping to help the Trojans get back to the NCAA tournament.

5. Louisville head coach Scott Teeter, who led Canada's U19 women's team to an upset at the 2015 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship, has been tabbed to lead the Canadian squad once again.

6. Today is the final day to receive the early-bird discounts on registration for 2019 LaxCon in Philadelphia and the 2018 US Lacrosse West Regional in Las Vegas.
